El Camino Gold Coast

The Tex-Mex that blew city slickers into oblivion in Brisbane is heading to Robina Town Centre, bringing its legendary menu, frozen margaritas and sombrero-splashed party vibe to the Gold Coast.

Nabbing a prime position along the waterfront dining precinct, The Promenade, El Camino Cantina’s new space will seat a whopping 280 hungry bellies, both indoors and across a sprawling al fresco area.

If you've yet to experience the sensory overload that is a meal at El Camino Cantina, here's what you can expect—bright, neon-lit interiors with a mish mash of quirky objects on the walls, and bulk tacos, burritos and fajitas on the menu. Basically, it's the perfect spot for a group date with your whole crew, especially if you plan on ordering a few rounds of the epic margaritas—you’ll be choosing between classic, strawberry, mango, tropical Red Bull, a margarita and sangria fusion, and a limited-edition flavour that changes every month.

The new location will see generous, shareable plates of tasty Tex-Mex available every day, as well as some pretty spicy deals like 10c wing Tuesdays, $2 taco Wednesdays, half-price fajitas on Thursdays and a pretty enticing burrito and beer lunch special for just $15 on weekdays. And if you’ve been looking for a new happy hour for knock-offs, El Camino Cantina will be all over it from 4pm–6pm during the week.

Set to throw open its doors late April, you’ll need to drool from afar a little longer, but never fear, we’ll pop back in as soon as the official date has been set.
