Gold Coast Wine And Food Festival
Now in its second year, the Gold Coast Food and Wine Festival is the perfect opening act to the half way mark of 2017. Oyster shucking master classes, winery degustations, gin and rum tastings and a whole lotta good food lovin’ are set to hit the Gold Coast over this four day fest. Don’t miss Burleigh Brewing’s Local Love shindig on Friday, Mount Tamborine’s long table luncheons and NightQuarter’s BBQ and Beats showdown or, simply meander to Lionel Perry’s picnic in the park in Surfers (presented by UberEATS) on Sunday.

Two Crazy Guys & A BBQ at Osteria
Long table lunches under a winter sun are our favourite kind of Sunday arvo chill-fest and this exclusive event is one you’re not gonna wanna miss. Paired with Oliver’s Taranga Vineyards award winning wines (the same gent who supplied juice for the acclaimed Penfold’s Grange), you can expect Osteria’s renowned garden to kitchen to table dining experience to be as extravagant, yet relaxed, as ever. World Environment Day Banquet With Greenhouse + The Borrowed Nursery
Did you know it’s World Environment Day on June 5? Hang out at seriously lush event space, The Borrowed Nursery, and gorge on a delicious plant-based banquet provided by Greenhouse Canteen. Get lost in the sounds of Kate Leopold and submerge yourself in the added perk of inclusive drinks. This greeny good event is certain to be one of the best feel good things to do on the Gold Coast this June.

Grub Fest 2017
For the second year, the bearded lads at Eddie’s Grub House are hosting their very own Cooly Rocks On side event, branded Grub Fest. With their own stage, 10 live bands across two days and a fenced off area for par-taying, this is one of the coolest things to do on the Gold Coast this June.

GC Design Collective’s Food Truck Party At Sunhouse Surf
Taking over Coolangatta’s old Sunhouse Surf building, the Gold Coast Design Collective is dishing up tasty eats between 7am to 10pm for five whole days in June! Coinciding with with Cooly Rocks On, expect pumping beats throughout the day and rockabilly bands Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights; shake off the winter blues with a piping hot serving of boogying on down.

Bubbles & Brie
Oh lordy Miss Claudey, this bubbles and cheese bonanza at Marketta is one you’ll want to skip lunch for. Set sail with Cheese Therapy on a creamy sea of brie where you’ll taste local and international varieties of this soft cheese fave, all washed down with your choice of bubbly or vino. Sounds like a perfectly acceptable dinner, we say!

The Green Marquee Eco Market
Set up camp with your picnic rug at Currumbin Valley's Eco Village and get amongst Gold Coast’s beautiful new monthly market series, The Green Marquee. Hat tip worthy workshops, unique fashion pieces and homewares (all made with environmentally sustainable materials and practises) and food trucks will keep you company while acoustic musings by Scott Dalton provide your Saturday morning soundtrack. A cute addition for June is The Green Marquee's 'Eco Kids Activities' which is aimed to entertain while teaching them environmentally friendly practices; this month it's sunflower seed planting kits and recycled bottle bubble blowers.

Mad Hatter’s Dance
Allow D.r.e.s.s.e.d GC’s Alice in Wonderland adult’s only tea party to sweep you away to a charming boozy fantasyland. At the Mad Hatter's Dance expect a mixed bag of burlesque dancers, reggae music and a fully-fledged scrumptious buffet will wander you down the rabbit hole. ‘Drink me’ and ‘eat me’ for all your hearts content. After all, Alice grew tiny after indulging in cakes and maybe you will too. #thedietstartstomorrow

Festival of the Stone at Stone & Wood Brewery
Drown your winter blues with some good old-fashioned brewskies at Festival of the Stone in Byron Bay. Stone & Wood will be releasing their seasonably appropriate winter Stone Beer, so take a sip and then a chug before wiping the froth from your mo’ and heading back in for more. Yahooing to community and live music, all profits will be donated to Liberation Larder and Bay FM, so you’ve got no excuse to not stay until the end of Kingswood’s set.

Sofar Sounds Launch
Or ‘songs for a room’ if you’re not with the lingo, Sofar Sounds is a global phenomenon originating in London way back in 2009 and celebrating the intimacy of music. Intriguingly set at a private space somewhere on the Gold Coast, the first gig is set to kick off on June 16. Expect monthly gatherings from hereon out with BYO bevvies and a team of creative volunteers. Register your attendance and have locations sent to your inbox the day before each event.

Back for round two, Lovechild Place is bringing you another cruelty-free market on June’s third Satur-yay! Who doesn’t love the Brazilian zest for life? Festa Junina (or June Festival in English) is a traditional winter celebration embracing family and South American country livin’. Organised by the GC’s energetic Brazilian community—so you know it’s going to be an authentically good time—and hosted by Miami Marketta, all manner of fun is on the agenda with the likes of country, folk, and roots music; country bumpkin-style dress-ups; Brazilian food, desserts, and mulled wine; oh, and dancing. There’ll be a crap load of dancing!

Rabbath’s Grand Lebanese Dinner
This eight-course degustation looks crazy good. Get all warm and cosy with authentic Lebanese cuisine while you’re shown how to perfectly pair wines with each dish. Enjoy Lebanese specialties such as locally caught fish with saffron rice or grape vine leaves with lamb neck dishes. With two seatings on the night, and just 28 spots on each, the earlier seating will explore Rabbath’s bistro wine classics, while the second seating will showcase top shelf wines. Oo la la!
