Melbourne usually puts on a pretty good weekend show, but the next few days are actually nuts. If you love a good pop-up sale, partying in style and eating/drinking like a king then this weekend is going to be your cup of tea.

So pay attention, people, because as usual, we have the ultimate list of things to check out this weekend.

Saturday 24 June

X NIHILO Pop-Up Sale

Do you love warehouse sales and getting up to 80% off your goods? Of course you do. Especially when it’s a dope range of leather bags. Well X NIHILO are bringing their carefully crafted leather range to a massive warehouse sale this weekend. Their friends Neon and Co and Onne Skincare will be joining them to bring Melbournians the perfect blend of skin, hair and leathery greatness. B.East Studio 54 Party

B East are turning five and you’re all invited to their Studio 54-themed extravaganza (for all those young’uns out there, Studio 54 was pretty much the ultimate disco in the 1970’s, so dress accordingly). You can’t have a Studio 54-themed bash without class acts, and B. East certainly got the memo. Mojo Juju and her band will headline the night, along with Emilee South and Miss Burlesque Australia, Miss Sina King. Nice.

Buddhas’s Belly Festival Series at Hawker Hall

Vegan hip hop yoga? Sign us the hell up. Hawker Hall, Buddha’s Belly and Yoga 213 are giving Melbournians the ultimate yogi/food fest #namaste. Expect an amazing spread of vegan specials, including the signature Buddha’s Bowl and Tofu Mushroom Mapu. Wholesome food goodness. Oh and Yoga 213 are hosting one of their signature hip hop yoga classes to go along with the spread. So go and shake your body in the morning and settle down for an epic feed at lunch (guilt free, of course).

Kerrie Hess Macarons At The Laduree Tea Room

Get excited—Celebrated Australian illustrator Kerrie Hess is coming to Melbourne to do a live drawing for the very first time! After illustrating a limited-edition macaroon gift box (dedicated to the City of Melbourne for French macaroon house Laduree), Kerrie has been invited back to showcase her talent on the live stage. Kerrie will be doing a live painting between 2-4pm on Saturday, and you can bet there’ll be macarons galore up for grabs. Sweet.

Play in Mind

Find a dash of inner peace this weekend at Play in Mind. This unique morning of mindfulness and play-time will have your weekend off to a blissful start. Yoga and meditation guru Josh Blau and play expert Dara Simkin will be there to guide you in mindfulness mediation and the fundamentals of improvisation. Go rediscover your inner child and get that hectic life back into balance. You deserve it! Best of all, proceeds go to Beyond Blue, so it’s all for a good cause.

Shortest Lunch Wine Event

The Yarra Valley’s smaller winemakers are throwing ‘The Shortest Lunch’ and it’s going to be boozy and delicious. If you didn’t already know, this is apparently the shortest weekend of the year, so Yarra Valley Smaller Wineries are packing it full of entrée sized meals and boutique wines. Escape to the calmer vibes of the Yarra Valley and enjoy a red as you look out into a landscape that isn’t covered in overpriced apartments you’ll never afford. Entry is only $15 and you get a super cool souvenir glass. It’s basically an adult party bag.

Reclink Community Cup

The Community Cup is back once again, as the nations community radio hosts come up against muscians in the grudge match of the year. This year's event will be the first carbon neutral aussie rules, and even community event to ever happen in Australia. You'll be able to catch Spiderbait, and Murray the Wiggle will be on hand to entertain the kids.

Italian Food and Wine Festival

The Italians have given us some of the best cuisine in the world, and now we know where to get it: this Sunday the Royal Exhibition Building is playing host to a massive Italian food festival. No matter what Nonna says, her pasta might get a run for its money at this thing. Pizza and pasta will be covered by Melbourne greats Johnny Di Francesco (400 Gradi) and Andrea Papadakis and Alberto Fava (Tipo 00). Vaporetto, La Bonta, Pasta Adagio and Caterina’s Cucine will also be popping-up to showcase their Italian greatness. A little bit a wine and a whole lotta food, you really can’t go wrong with this one.

Belleville’s Sunday Roast

Fond childhood memories often include your mama’s traditional Sunday Roast. That decadent gravy alongside amazing meats, veg and potatoes was always the answer to any problems. But Belleville has decided to put a twist on your mama’s Sunday Roast and blow your mind with their version, so go on give it a go. It kicks off this weekend and it’s only $25 (cheap as chicken). They’re also giving you the chance to win a golden ticket (hidden under your plate) that will cover the cost of your whole table (up to six people!). Sounds pretty good to us. The Melbourne Design Market is back, and so is their incredible range of impeccably on-trend products. Design-savvy gurus will be mustering from all over the country to showcase some of the best new products on the market, all in the comfort of the the Fed Square carpark (probably the second most expensive thing to come out of that carpark…). Expect epic everything from furniture, fashion and jewellery to hand-crafted homewares. Shopping for lit designs can be hungry work, so it’s good there’s a selection of coffee, food and music to keep you on your toes.

Boulevard Funk at Pontoon

It’s time to get groovy, Melbourne. Pontoon are launching Boulevard Funk this weekend, and it promises to be the ultimate Sunday sesh (and one that won’t leave you with regrets on Monday morning). It’s only appropriate that they bring in Sean Marchetti one of Melbourne’s most popular live music acts to kick off the tunes. His soulful funk vibe will be the answer to all those Sunday woes. Entry is free, drink specials will be flowing, and Sean is pretty on the eyes. You know have no reason not to attend.

The Saint and Madame Truffle Dinner

St Ali and Madame Truffles are turning up the heat this truffle season. Winter is the perfect time for foodies to stuff their face with the best cuisine, and this private dining event is no exception. The 4-course dinner will feature some of the best truffles from around the country and St Ali’s head chef Andy Hearnden is all over the seasonal best selling fungi. Melbourne Marathon

Get your joggers on, ladies and gents—the Melbourne Marathon is upon us once more. Early Bird tickets are going hot and the cut-off is June 30. If you’re a penny saver you’ll need to get on the net ASAP. The good news is there’s still heaps of time to train up for the big day. Go check out the sights of Melbourne at your own pace. All proceeds will be going to the Cerebral Palsy Education Centre. Grab your friends, brothers, sisters and mamas and go run for a good cause.
