By Gen Nenna - 16 Feb 2017

There are so many reasons Melbourne has been ranked as the world’s most liveable city for six years running and we’ve listed 14 of them right here. We’re talking outdoor cinemas galore, award-winning musicals, so much amazing food (obvi) and the spectacular return of the humble roller skate.

Here are 14 awesome things to do in Melbourne this weekend. Good luck trying to fit everything in!

All Weekend

Kinky Boots

Slip on your kinkiest, sparkliest boots and stomp your way over to Her Majesty’s Theatre for a heart-warming and hilarious musical extravaganza like no other. Indian Street Food Festival

Mumbai is coming to Melbourne this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, courtesy of the Preston Food Truck Park. Just thinking about all the incredible, authentic Indian food on offer has got our mouths watering (that may also have something to do with all of the spices). You can expect all the extravagance of Bollywood with dancing, henna artists and music, as well as classic Bollywood flicks playing on the projector. Entry is free so it doesn’t really get much better than that.

Where: The Food Truck Park, 518 High Street, Preston
When: 5pm, 17-19 February

10 Things I Hate About You Pop-Up Outdoor Cinema

10 Things I Hate About You is currently streaming on Netflix, but let’s be honest here, our TV and laptop screens are not nearly big enough to fully showcase the glory that is Heath Ledger’s face. Luckily for us, Common Man at South Wharf has got us covered with their pop-up outdoor cinema this Thursday night. Admission is free but seats are limited, so why not book a food and beverage package from $18 and secure yourself a seat?
