By Amber De Luca-Tao - 05 Jun 2017

If these sub-zero mornings are any guide, winter is well and truly upon us. But hey, after you’re done reading this list, you’ll agree that ain’t such a bad thing after all. Not when you’ve got night markets, vegan burgers and gin cocktail classes to get you through the working week.

Here’s five awesome things do in Melbourne this week.

Wednesday 7th June

Queen Vic Winter Night Market

If the Queen Vic Night Market is a consolation prize for losing sunny weather and our summer tans, we’re more than happy to claim it. This year’s theme is ‘Fire and Lights’ and with the usual line-up of 50+ design stalls and 30+ gourmet food vendors, it’s going to be well and truly, lit. Get yourself a cup of mulled wine and check it out.

Welcome To Thornbury's Vegan Vegout

There are at least 15 food things that are accidentally vegan, but there’s nothing accidental about Welcome to Thornbury’s Vegan Vegout. The Wednesday night eating event features a range of meat-free some of Melbourne’s finest food trucks. And this just in, YOMG Burgers, notorious for their epic, finger-licking good, meaty AF burgers, have developed an entirely vegan menu specifically for the event! Vegout...more like rolled out and right into bed. Oh, and BYO pupper and lead.
