It seems like only yesterday we were all crowding into stadiums to watch the long-awaited inaugural season of AFLW.

Well, AFLW is back again, and the second season kicks off Friday 2 February at Ikon Park in Carlton with traditional rivals Carlton and Collingwood going head to head.

To kick the season off in style there will be a live site outside of Ikon Park which will have a big screen showing the game live, along with food trucks like Nem N Nem, Reel Fish & Chips, and Mamma Van. There will be prizes and giveaways, and a chance to grab yourself a photo with Carlton mascots Nina Navy and Captain Carlton.

At half time you’ll get the chance to catch Melbourne singer-songwriter Alex Lahey perform live as well, you definitely won’t want to miss that.

And just in case you need reminding, entry will once again be free this season.

Round 1 features the following matchups:

  • Friday 2 February
Carlton VS Collingwood | Ikon Park | 7:45pm
  • Saturday 3 February
Melbourne VS GWS | Casey Fields | 5:05pm
Adelaide VS Brisbane | Norwood Oval | 6:45PM
  • Sunday 4 February
Western Bulldogs VS Fremantle | Whitten Oval | 4:35pm

You can check out the full season fixture here.

AFLW has also just launched a great new app, which will help you plan and watch your team live. You can download it here.
