In Melbourne’s market calendar, Big Design is up there with Finders Keepers and the Queen Vic’s Summer Night Market. It’s pretty much all you need for a successful Christmas present mission—a massive collection of independent designers, artists, crafty-type people, foodies and furniture makers, serving up gift ideas by the thousand.

Anyway, the 2017 line-up just dropped, and it’s looking pretty outrageous.

Here’s a taster. There’s going to be Indigenous artists from The Kimberley region and designer Georgia Perry will be bringing the A-Grade accessories. There’ll be a mix of boutique furniture, homewares, jewellery, stationery and kids’ toys from some of the hottest artists going around, plus a food line-up that’ll make you drool all over your new palm leaf embroidered pillow.

Delicious names coming at you: Earl Canteen (with their brand new Wholebowls), Misschu, St. Ali, All Day Donuts, Messina, along with newcomers Candied Bakery, 5 & Dime Bagel, Mork Chocolate and Ace Cookies. Told you it was a stellar mix this year.

There’ll even be a new upstairs Balcony Bar, slinging cheese from Harper & Blohm, Starward whisky by the finger and frothies from Moo Brew and Faire Ferments. Did we mention the specialty Tea Lounge, serving artisan tastings and choccies from Luxbite?

Christmas sorted.
