Yep, The Langham’s schmancy buffet restaurant is chucking a dedicated hot chip buffet this Friday. It’s all to celebrate National Fries Day, which is apparently a thing that exists. Fries on Friday...wordplay.
So how do you stock an entire buffet with fries? You start with a poutine station—hand-cut fries topped with house gravy and cheese curds. We can thank Canada for that one. Then you offer bottomless beer-battered fries with a range of special condiments. Think Chipotle sea salt, Amarillo mayo (!!) and black garlic aioli.
You’ll still have access to Melba’s regular buffet fixtures (including the burger buffet), so you can pair your fries with stir-fry or curry if it takes your fancy. Live dangerously.
There are two sittings (lunch and dinner) and bookings are getting tight for both. You’re gonna have to motor to grab seats.
Usually, with buffets, we’d give you a big lecture about skipping the stodge and the starch (they’re notorious for cramping your stomach real estate). But in this case, go nuts. Potato like there’s no tomorrow.
