We might not live a healthy lifestyle by the sea, like the Bondi hipsters, but we certainly know how to live organic and gluten-free. We’re all trying to live our best lives and for a lot of us health conscious Melbournites that means a constant quest for the natural alternative to all things in life. Well, quest no more, we’ve got you covered with a natural organic option for just about everything in Melbourne.

Where To Shop

The Collingwood Children’s Farm

You’re not a true 'wellburnian' (our new term for the wellness warriors of Melbourne) unless you can claim that you buy all of your fresh produce from a farmers market. Jokes aside, farmers markets are a great way to get to know the people producing your food and to insure you’re shopping seasonally. The Collingwood Children’s Farm Farmers Market are the OG when it comes to market goodness. Sip on a latte and stroll the beautiful grounds at the Abbotsford convent whilst you fill your basket with this seasons veggies and other treats.

Terra Madre

The organic Aisle at Coles just doesn’t cut it if you’re trying to live your best organic life, clean out the car boot and head to Terra Madre in Northcote for a foodies organic paradise. Their prices make organic living more than affordable. They stock everything from veggies to vegan vegemite and have a bulk section that rivals wholefoods in LA. Being too broke to afford organic food is no longer an excuse.

The Staple Store

Located in Ripponlea The Staple Store stocks all things bulk wholefoods as well as some of Melbourne’s best local organic and natural products, including our fav non-toxic skincare {SIMPLE as that}. Founder Catie and her team have you covered for snacks too with their house blend of spiced veggie chips (taking Netflix and chill snacks to a new level) and Melbourne’s best Raw Chocolate, Citizen Cacao. They’re also fully loaded with crystals and locally made gifts, making buying for your yoga teacher friends oh so much easier! Head on in to buy almonds and leave with a bag full of goodies!

Eating Out

Shoku Iku

Do yourself a favour and order the reishi cappuccino with your cake.

Arguably producing the best Kombucha in Australia, Street Organics offers the full suit of organic living. Dine in for breakfast or lunch, take home some bulk goods or their famous komuncha, or order their organic food boxes and/or pre-made organic meals to your door!
