Blossom festivals are a great way to remind yourself that the frigid winter mornings are coming to an end and you’ll soon be surrounded by fluttering leaves and blooming flowers.
This weekend, the 12th annual Mallee Almond Blossom Festival will be held on the grounds of the Robinvale Community Centre overlooking the Murray River. The Festival coincides with the blooming of the almond trees but there are also a bunch of other activities and events you can sink your teeth into.
Come for a relaxing day of sampling and purchasing local produce such as almonds, olives, flavoured olive oils and salad dressings, avocados, fresh garden produce, local honey and more. There will also be live bands, plenty of Instagrammable moments, as well as food and wine, of course.
You can take your pick between great warm beef rolls, baked potatoes, pizza, paella and more. The Prickly Pear craft beer company is also back by popular demand plus wine from Trentham Estate and gin from Fossey’s Ginporium. It’s going to be a good one.
