Full-time carnivores and weekend barbeque man-ners need to have this meat-filled festival on their radar. Hosting Melbourne’s butcher and barbeque wars (which is exactly what it sounds like), the two-day Melbourne Meatstock Festival will be home to everything from your meat-y dreams!
From barbeque wars where teams will battle it out to be crowned the best in Victoria, to live butcher wars where butchers will have 30 minutes to demonstrate their carving skills, it would be a miss steak to miss this event.
King of the Grill will also crown Melbourne’s best juicy steak, lip-licking burger and wings.
Guest judges include American BBQ champion Tuffy Stone, who trained as a classical French chef before finding his smoky soul mate. Talented Melbourne-born chef Jess Pryles will also be returning to her home city to teach us the ins-and-outs of slow ‘n low Texan cooking.
