If you've been living under a rock, you might have missed the fact that Vogue American Express Fashion Night Out (VAEFNO for short) is on this Friday.
Massive designer sales will be taking over the CBD, and Melbourne Central is getting in on the action. Yep, the guys that brought you Unicorn Festival and Cactus Carnival, are back at it again with a shmancy-sounding 'Iridescent Party'.
Basically, the entire takeover event is here to boost your 'gram (and celebrate Melbourne Fashion Week kicking off in style). So dress to impress. If your feed has been looking a bit too ‘matte’ lately, this is sure to shake things up.
When Riri sang Shine Bright Like a Diamond , we’re pretty sure this is what she was talking about. Get ready to glow with a FREE futuristic eye and lip makeover at the ✨ @maccosmeticsaustralia Supreme Beam Beauty Bar ✨ this Friday, during Vogue Fashion's Night Out. The theme is sparkly iridescent shimmer, inspired by Balmain and Tom Ford’s 2018 Fall collections. There’ll be three different photo opps available: Bubble and Snap, which will mimic being inside a giant, unpoppable bubble; The Wall of Extra, where you wear a shiny coat and stand against a shiny wall; and Shiny Balloon Land, that’s pretty self-explanatory and kind of just sounds fantastic.
"Melbourne Central’s approach for this VAEFNO was inspired by what’s trending with millennials on social and in-store. We’ve used that inspo to create must-visit spaces that enhance their night," says MC Manager Melissa Polglase. "With so many great offers across the precinct, our Iridescent Party becomes a celebratory zone to unwind and have some insta-worthy fun.”
There’ll also be activities, DJs, nail makeovers and a glittery, shiny drag queen show from the legends at Broken Heel Festival. This entire thing sounds one part insane, two parts amazing. We can’t wait.
