Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2015 Revealed

Melbourne Spring Fashion Week is now officially Anna Wintour approved! The Vogue Fashion Night Out (for the uninitiated, it’s basically a VIP shopping event on steroids) is coming to Melbourne for the first time. We only wonder what took them so long?! It will kick off fashion week as well as the 2015 VFNO program worldwide. Here are the other essentials you need to know as MSFW comes of age in its 21st year:

VFNO is just one night of a three-day long shopfest spanning fashion week’s opening weekend. Shop the City will see special offers and retail therapy experiences happening from Flinders Lane to Emporium, to the swankiest end of Collins Street. Pro tip: start saving your hard earned pennies now!

You’re not experiencing déjà vu. Model Ashley Hart returns as Melbourne Spring Fashion Week’s celebrity ambassador for the second year in a row. In suitably diplomatic fashion, the ever-smiling beauty says she is looking forward to “absolutely everything to do with the event”. Mostly, we’d kill for her kick-ass designer wardrobe during the week.

One thing MSFW 2015 won’t be doubling up on this year is runways. For the first time in recent memory, there will be no repeat shows! Each of the glamorous Designer Runways will be uniquely themed (which means you should book your tickets extra early). Choose your own fashion adventure, from showcases intended to put one in a holiday frame of mind, dish up Spring Racing Carnival outfit inspo, or simply champion the best of local design.

The first Thursday in September will be gents’ night. MSFW Mr is beefing up its offering with a menswear runway hosted at the Melbourne Town Hall. Good looking men in good looking suits? We’re so there.

Spring is coming. Will you be one of 50,000+ celebrating its arrival with us at MSFW 2015 (August 28th – September 4th)? Most events are free but ticketed events are on sale now.
