Melbourne, we know you love a menu launch just as much as we do and we think you’re going to be particularly excited about this one.
Daniel Wilson, aka the brains behind Huxtable and Huxtaburger, has taken on a brand new challenge, and there’s not a burger in sight (well, there’s one, but he tried!) He’s now heading up the recently refurbished Merrywell Bar & Dining at Crown and his new share style menu has our tummies rumbling.
Start with the Hainanese chicken rice paper rolls with a glorious coriander, mint, red chilli and crispy shallot sauce, Japanese fried chicken with sesame and yuzu mayo and beef rendang spring rolls. But once your taste buds are tingling, it’s the shares that we’ve gone gaga for.
Korean spicy beef bolognese is the stand-out creation filled with kimchi, shimeji mushrooms and rice noodles, that has us all saying to Daniel, “Why didn’t we think of that?” And although it’s on the share menu we’re pretty certain you’ll want to devour it all to yourself.
If you’re hungry, the Merrywell Bar and Dining's menu for big appetites is your cure. Think DIY wood-grilled lamb souvlaki with all the Greek trimmings, 500g Collinson & Co Black Angus rib eye with pepper sauce and fries or panko crumbed chicken schnitzel with black garlic aioli.
And you didn’t think this legend in chef form would forget dessert, did you? The mandarin pavlova with coconut yoghurt, mandarin sorbet and toasted coconut is freakin’ delish, while the caramel slice is heaven on a plate.
We’re going to guess you’re feeling pretty hungry right about now so here’s the link to book a table now.
