Here's some news to turn your Monday around, guys. Melbourne's MSO have just released new dates for their live performance of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban later this year.
The Prisoner of Azkaban is a strong contender for the best overall HP movie. We get to meet total rugged babes Lupin and Sirius Black, there's the iconic Marauder’s Map, and it was before the disastrous shaggy hairstyles from Goblet of Fire. Oh, and that's not even mentioning the Knight Bus scene, which is probably the best sequence in movie history (ERNIE, LITTLE OLD LADY AT 12 O'CLOCK). Amazing.
Well come November, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will be playing along with the film’s soundtrack, and it's gonna be glorious.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban – In Concert is (officially) the best Harry Potter film on a whole new dimension. We’re sure you’re all more than familiar with the iconic theme song (did you know it’s called Hedwig’s Theme?? Weird...) but get ready to hear the entire score performed in front of your eyes while you watch the movie on the big screen.
Due to massive popularity first two instalments, the MSO have just announced a third concert date for the best of the series (10 November). Get in quickly so you don’t miss out on seeing the (greatest) Harry Potter film live. We’re banging on now, but we just reaaaallllly love the third film.
When: 8, 9 and 10 November
Where: Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Convention Centre Pl, South Wharf
