Pay-What-You-Want Pho Hits Melbourne CBD

By Ellen Seah - 06 Aug 2015

No, we’re not kidding. Until next Tuesday you can name the price on Pho Real’s bowl of hot, soupy goodness at their city pop-up store. Located on Liverpool Street in Melbourne’s CBD, simply order your favourite kind of pho and pay whatever you think it’s worth!

The timing couldn’t be better, as frosty-fingered workers crush their winter-blues at one of Melbourne’s best pop-up restaurants. Classic chicken, beef, combination and vegetarian pho are on the menu. You may (and will) top up your lunch with Pho Real’s choice of traditional spring rolls or meaty chargrilled skewers. Alternatively, venture onto the road less travelled and try their Ba La Lot, a beef roll wrapped in betel leaf. There’s also Mama’s chicken recipe, which is promised to be a tasty affair.

But you better get your hustle on! Pho Real’s pop-up restaurant sold out of broth on their first day of trade, crushing Melburnian pho dreams everywhere. To avoid unnecessary tears, clear your lunch schedule for the rest of the week and get queuing.

If you can’t make it down to the pop-up, don’t despair. A permanent restaurant is scheduled to open in September this year for Pho Real lovers.

Pho Real is open at 11 Liverpool Street, Melbourne CBD | 11am – 3pm, 5pm – late
