If you’ve been to Indonesia recently, you’ll know that the coffee scene there is on the up and up, thanks mainly to a double shot of Melbourne owned and inspired cafés setting up shop.

Following in the footsteps of St Ali—who opened their Jakarta store in 2015—Sensory Lab have gone big and have just opened two cafes at once, perfect for that caffeine hit next time you’ve bought those cheap flights.

You’ll find everything you would expect in Melbourne in these two new Jakarta venues, with Sensory Lab’s signature coffee blends Steadfast and Seamless on offer as well as two locally grown single origin coffees sourced from Aceh.

The Sensory Lab team also flew in award-winning barista and latte artist Shinsaku Fukayama to train the staff in how to make a perfect Melbourne coffee.

Along with all things caffeinated, these new Sensory Labs will be serving up delicious menu options, the pick of which would have to be the fried chicken eggs benedict. Now that’s our kind of eggs benny.
