Amongst all the stress that comes with 'adulting', we bet you didn’t even realise we’ve got a Queen's Birthday Long Weekend comin’ right up. Can we get a YAAAS QUEEEN?

This weekend, venues scattered all across Melbs have got some seriously big parties lined up for y’all. You have zero excuses to not be royally lit this weekend, unless you want to spend it escaping the Melbourne winter. We’re talking all-day drink specials, sick tunes, street parties, the list goes on. Don’t thank us, thank the Queen.

Saturday 10th June

Vintage Britney at Supersmall Club

The 90’s brought us Pokemon cards, silly putty, mood rings and Tamagotchis. It also brought us the real kween (of pop), Britney Spears. At Supersmall Club this weekend, they’re celebrating Britney b*tch by throwing a full-blown Britney themed party in her honour. The drinks list? Britbombs, Espresso Britinis, Brijitos, Aperol Spearitz. Expect to hear every classic, vintage Britney hit that ever was, followed by a night of pop sing-a-longs, naturally. There’s also going to be a prize for the best Britney impersonator. Could this night get any better?

Where: Supersmall Club, 147 Commercial Road, South Yarra, VIC 3141
When: 10pm-3am
You can buy tickets here.

Techno Mansion at RUBIX Warehouse

Hidden in the industrial backstreets of Brunswick… doesn’t that sound intriguing already? If you’ve got that craving, you know the one, to get down and dirty to some techno in a warehouse this weekend (we always feel like that?), your prayers have been answered. *Techno lovers rejoice*, Spacey Space among many other DJs will be gracing the decks. Early arrival will be rewarded with drink specials, so get in early to exploit the discounts and consume copious amounts of alcohol.

Where: Rubix Warehouse, 36 Phoenix Street, Brunswick, VIC 3056
When: 9pm-3am
You can buy tickets here.

Elvis Presley at Margaret Court Arena

What’s a Queen without a King? We’re not sure about the answer to that question, but all confusion aside, you can see Elvis Presley live this weekend… on screen that is. The King of Rock will be entering the building that is Margaret Court Arena for a celebration bringing all of his rock n roll hits back to life. The screen performance will be accompanied by a 40 piece symphony orchestra.

Where: Margaret Court Arena at Melbourne Park, Batman Ave, VIC 3000
When: 7.30-10.30pm
You can get tickets here.

Royal Funk Party at The Toff In Town

Everybody has a soft spot for the 80’s and if you say you don’t know a single 80’s banger, you’re lying. DJs at The Toff In Town are bringing you a fully 80’s inspired night that’s got a lil bit of funk, a lit bit of jazz and a huge serving of purple. Yes this weekend is supposed to be about the British Monarch, but at The Toff In Town, it’s all about Prince. Pop royalty… that’s still on brand isn’t it? Our advice? Get ready to get funked up.

Where: The Toff In Town, 252 Swanston St, VIC 3000
When: 7pm till late
You can buy tickets here.

Sunday 11th June

CC:Disco! Day Party at Holy Moly White Ribbon Fundraiser

This ain’t no church service. It’s a disco, headlined by the one and only CC:Disco, coming in hot from her epic set at Freedom Time last weekend.

But hold up, it’s not just a daytime disco, it’s a party with a purpose. Holy Moly (that pizza bar attached to a nightclub you may have heard about) is encouraging the community to support White Ribbon, to raise awareness of domestic violence, empowering individuals to stand up and speak out safely. The event will see the sunset off with a three hour set from CC:Disco followed by an epic line-up of DJs. Pizza and techno. Now that’s a combo we could get used to.

$5 from every ticket purchased will go directly to supporting White Ribbon’s prevention work in schools, workplaces and the wider community. If you won’t be attending the event, online donations are greatly appreciated.

Where: Holy Moly, 660A Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn VIC 3122
When: 3pm-11pm
You can buy tickets here.

Sunday Sessions at St Hotel

If reports about St Hotel's Sunday Session from last year are accurate, it sounds like this one will actually be worth waiting in line for. This Sunday rendezvous will see a day of live music, RnB and house music across the two level precinct.

Where: St Hotel, 54 Fitzroy St, St Kilda VIC 3182
When: 3pm till late

Latin Party at Melb Central Lion Hotel

Just can’t deal with the top 30 radio hits anymore? Just wanna be in Spain rn? Well the Queen’s Birthday Eve Latin Party sounds like your destination. The Lion Hotel main room will transform into a Latin Party straight outta Costa Rica. You can expect Salsa, Merengue and Reggaeton beats all evening, with the side room still spinning rnb in case it turns out you’re too white girl after all. Drink specials all night starting at $7 spirits! Free entry.

Where: Melb Central Lion Hotel, 211 La Trobe St, VIC 3000
When: Till 3am

Block Party at Secret Garden

If you’re trying to strike a balance between rowdy but sorrrrrt of classy at the same time this weekend, you should consider Secret Garden’s Block Party. It’s one of the few outdoor venues where you can pull off the, “I just came from a cocktail party” look when you actually just came straight from home. Unless you’re planning on getting fully inebriated within 10 mins of arrival, maybe bring a coat to keep some of that chilly St Kilda beach breeze at bay. The party gets going at 12pm and you’re invited to stay all day and all night long.

Where: Secret Garden, 60 Fitzroy Street, St Kilda 3182
When: 12pm till late

Street Party on Fitzroy Street

It would be rude to not invite the Queen to her own birthday party. We can only assume she’s probably really busy and that’s why the Fitzroy Street Party is getting an impersonator to show up instead. The festivities begin at the St Kilda Sea Baths where the ‘Queen’ will be flanked by the ‘British Royal Guards’. With Australia’s finest drag queens, fire twirlers and a magician roaming the street, it sounds like this party has got something for everyone.

Where: Fitzroy Street, St Kilda 3182
When: 3pm-6pm

In Cahoots with Boogs & T-Rek Live at Railway Hotel Brunswick

In Cahoots is back at it again with another courtyard boogie at the Railway Hotel in Brunswick. $5 pizzas? Hello! Guess we’ll be seeing ya in the courtyard then. Admission is free until 12pm.

Where: 291 Albert Street, Brunswick, VIC 3056

Looking for a road trip instead? Grab the Doritos and head to Port Fairy—there's a sausage dog race on this weekend.
