Cappo Sociale

Cappo Sociale is putting on a classic Italian feast this Valentine’s Day that would make Dean Martin himself proud. Get in the mood with the ‘Ravioli Di Rapa Rossa’, a beetroot ravioli filled with basil Stracciatella, swordfish and walnuts, and finish with a homemade tiramisu. They say you can’t buy love, but sending your Valentine a 1kg heart-shaped cookie certainly comes close. Thicc Cookies have created a super-sized ooey-gooey chocolate chip cookie with sprinkles and tiny pink and white hearts over the top. It will arrive in a foil tray ready to heat and eat.

Chin Chin

Nothing says “I love you” quite like a date at a Melbourne institution, and Chin Chin’s  ‘Love Me, Feed Me’ menu should do just the trick. Lock in your love with a feast of their iconic kingfish sashimi, house-smoked brisket with sweet soy glaze, Miang of pepper cured beef and steamed market fish just to name a couple.

Ichi Ni Nana Izakaya

Just downstairs from Cappo Sociale, Ichi Ni Nana Izakaya are doing their part to make sure love is in the air. They’re busting out the ‘Heart Roll’, made with seared tuna, salmon, avocado, seven-spice mayo and tobiko and in the shape of a heart, to get lovebirds in the mood. You can also savour limited-edition cocktails including the Cupid’s Arrow (tequila, lychee, passionfruit and citrus) and Sour Sweet Symphony (spiced rum, Campari, pineapple and citrus).

The Chef’s table at Kisume is dishing up a meticulous twenty-course menu by Master Chef Jun Suzuki. Together you can dine out on an array of dishes like crayfish, pearl meat, tuna Akami, spanner crab, toothfish and wagyu. It will certainly be a night neither of you will forget because even if the conversation is flat the food will be immaculate.

Their V’day set menu features edamame & wasabi dip, a mixed bag of sushi and sashimi and their famous panko chicken with sweet chilli mayo. The boutique florist, Blossm Bby is opening a pop-up at Yakimono to make sure you can gift your Valentine a bouquet that declares your love. You can opt for a bouquet to arrive at your table or the night before to build the hype. If you’re after something with a twist, the Tuxedos Mask features a bundle of red roses with added babies breath and anthuriums. Or if you’re after something a little more extravagant, the Cosmic Heart arrangement has babies breath, anthuriums, relaxed roses, orchids and delphiniums sitting on a cloud puff of hydrangeas. Agostino

The cozy wine bar by King & Godfree has curated a delicious four-course Italian feast with carefully paired wines and delicate chocolate by Koko Black. Ease into the evening with Burrata and peppers and Prosciutto with rockmelon and Gnocco Fritto. For primi, Tagliatelle alla gricia and vodka and tomato Paccheri and secondi, rangers valley rump cap, roast potatoes with rosemary and garlic and a classic insalata mista. Finish up with meringue, berries and cream. Nothing says love quite like a shared meal over fine wines.

Bomba

It’s a Spanish affair over at Bomba this Valentine’s Day, or should we say, El Día de San Valentín. The shared set menu consists of fresh oysters, thirty-sixth-month-old Joselito Iberico jamon, octopus and Bomba’s signature Pedro Ximenez pork belly. But the star of the show, besides your date of course, is the lamb rump served with charcoal-grilled carrots, romesco sauce and heirloom tomatoes with burrata and pickled shallot.

In honour of Cupid’s day of love, Pidapipo is releasing a chocolate-covered heart-shaped popsicle. You’ll have to break the heart yourself to taste the delicious strawberry cream gelato encased in a scrumptious dark chocolate coating that’s been sprinkled with waffle crunch. The Westin

Skip the dinner and go straight to drinks at The Westin, make small talk or deep conversation in their lobby lounge while sipping on crafted cocktails. Treat your date to an evening of decadence with a valentine's menu at Copycat, Elsternwick’s swankiest new wine bar and diner. Indulge in natural oysters Blue Swimmer crab tortellini and 300g Porterhouse on the bone. On a sweeter note, down a couple glasses of champagne and polish off a dessert of chocolate delice, cookie crumble and milk sorbet.

New Quarter

The intimate atmosphere at New Quarter and champagne on arrival will be sure to set the mood for your romantic dinner.
