Usually, to get a taste of the delicious winemaking process, you need to get in the car (or God-forbid, on a bus), and travel at LEAST an hour out of Melbourne (first world problems hey?). And when we say taste, we don’t just mean ambience, and it can be a pain when you’re the designated driver and can only appreciate so much. If you’re nodding your head enthusiastically and chanting ‘I hear ya!’, then this event is one for you!
Vinteloper, run by artisan winemaker David Bowley, is hosting an Urban Winery Project in Melbourne that will last for three nights only. Held at Gather & Tailor Warehouse in West Melbourne, the fun kicks off from Wednesday March 4th, followed by evenings on March 11th and 18th. Visit this urban space where grapes have been transported from the Vinteloper vineyard, for you to get involved in the foot-crushing, fermenting, basket-pressing process!
Urban Winery Project guests can learn a thing or two, participate in the winemaking process, and appreciate some tasty drops!
Pot & Pan are taking care of tummy rumbles, with a gourmet feast matched to Vinteloper wines (both from their range and others made at previous Urban Winery Project seasons!). Mouth watering yet?
Release your inner wino without taking a road trip, Listers!
