Get ready for a weekend of epic proportions ahead, where you’ll be making most of this scorching summer weather with some good tunes, great food and awesome company. Check out the Noodle Markets for some slurping good times, say cheers to the weekend at one of the boozy summer sessions, or tick off the Christmas list with some stellar markets. Whatever you do, you know it’s going to be a summery, spectacular weekend ahead with all these things to do in Auckland this weekend!

Night Noodle Markets

Yasss! Our fave slurp-tastic night market is back and our stomachs are grumbling already. Sink your teeth into an array of scrumptious Asian food and soak up the bustling hawker-style atmosphere at this year's Night Noodle Markets. Make your way through the different lip-smacking Asian flavours from top-notch local vendors, as you treat yo’self to everything from Asian-style loaded fries, mango sherbert from cult ice creamery Gelato Messina, to Hanoi street food and fresh-off-the-grill BBQ skewers. Prepare your stomach for the Asian foodie feast of the year!

Sawmill, Snacks and Sounds Takapuna

Burger Burger’s bringing all of the live tunes, refreshing beersies and deliciousness to Taka all summer long and you’re invited! Joined by the good people at Sawmill Brewery, you’ll be treated to their thirst-quenching pilsners, Crystal Lager, XPA and Hoppy Hibiscus Gose. Live music will be treating you out all weekend long to up that Burger Burger experience—we didn’t even think it was possible!

Santa Claus

Do you know if you’re on the naughty or nice list this year? Basement Theatre’s annual fundraiser is back, where all profits from the show will be going to development programs for artists so you can get the warm Chrissy fuzzies and a bloody good night out! In Basement tradition, get excited for the feature of a secret celebrity each night including New Zealand’s youngest politician Chloe Swarbrick, Bachelor NZ funnygirl Lily McManus and Urzila Carlson just to name a few! Nab some ticket upgrades for the best seats in the house or an ice cream during the show and pay it forward to these amazing creators at one of Auckland’s most-loved theatres.

Moët Ice Summer Sessions

 ‘Tis the season… for champagne! HeadQuarters will be home to the Moët Ice Summer Sessions all summer long, where you’ll be sipping on goblets of champagne on ice with show-stopping views. Moët Ice Imperial is the first champagne designed to be enjoyed over ice, embracing everything summer is all about—fun in the sun of course! Make your way through the curated Möet Ice Imperial cocktail list and groove to the beats from DJs Jamie Webster Haines, Justin Sweeney and Gracie Taylor. After-work drinks just got a whooole lot better!

Grey Goose Pop-Up

Start your summer right with a Grey Goose experience not to be missed! Custom Lane is partnering with Grey Goose vodka to bring a slice of France to the heart of Auckland. Make your way through the dedicated Grey Goose cocktail list matched with French-inspired food pairings to mark the beginning of the warm summer evenings. The signature serve cocktail is one of magic—the Grey Goose Le Grand Fizz is a long, light and refreshing combination of Grey Goose vodka, St-Germain Elderflower liqueur and fresh lime all topped with chilled soda. Perfectly matched with Roquefort blue cheese, pear and honey crostini, aaand we’re drooling already. Once you’re done with that, move onto the Grey Goose Espresso Martini (a.k.a. an Aucklander's kryptonite), paired with petite chocolate truffle tart with a poppy seed tuille. If they’re not tickling your fancy, they’ve even got a decadent crepe cart with live crepe creations and everyone loves a crepe! Brothers Beer Birthday Party

Champagne in a box? Yes please! The Mumm Rosé Box is popping up around Auckland and we couldn't be any more excited. This Saturday, pop along to recently opened Mission Bay Pavillion for some summertime cocktails and poptails. Sitting pretty on one of the City of Sails' fave beaches, soak in the spectacular views and enjoy the chilled vibes.

Mercatino di Natale—Italian Christmas Market

This amazing Italian market is back and bigger than ever, bringing all the goodness of Italian food, wine, giftware, art, design, jewellery and more just in time for Christmas. You’ll be well-looked after by the travelling and local stallholders sourcing the best in Italian gifts and of course delicious pizza, gelato, coffee, wine, cheese and sweets! Be transported to this dreamy European country for a morning, and the children will be entertained by the art activities and craft stations. There’s lots of amazing Italian Christmas hampers to win so we hope you’re feeling lucky!

Something of an Auckland institution, Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park is heading into the 24th year of New Zealand’s biggest showcase of talented singers, dancers, and musicians at this FREE outdoor Christmas party! Preparations are well-underway for the family night of the year, jamming to Christmas faves and the hottest hits. Hit up all of the food stalls for a classic fairground feast, hop on the rides and attempt to keep that food down, and dance the night away with your friends and family. Once again this feel-good fest is getting behind Youthline, developing and supporting youth across New Zealand. It's time to celebrate 24 years of happiness at the event signaling Christmas is just around the corner!

Retro Saturday

Dance off the week that was and way back into yesteryear in Aotea Square as part of Auckland Live Summer in the Square. Bring your gingham tablecloth and lax in the sun with a scrumptious picnic as you boogie to the sassy sounds of DJ Tina Turntables. By evening, you’ll be transported to a 50s throwback party with The Rocking Rollercoasters band joined by the swing dancing gang swing Out Central with music from the 20s, 30s and 40s performed by the 12-piece band Tuxedo Swing!

SKYCITY Christmas Market

One of our fave Auckland weekend to-dos Coatesville Markets is coming to the heart of the city during December allll the way up to Christmas Eve transforming into SKYCITY's Christmas Markets! On Sunday mornings from 10am until 2pm, you best mark it in your calendar to rock up to SKYCITY’s charming we market to tick off the Christmas list… and then some! The stallholders will showcase their creative and unique gifts all made with love, covering everything from jewellery, arts and crafts, to textiles and homemade preserves. Sounds like Christmas is just about sorted to us!

Sweat Shop Brew is hosting a big blow-out to celebrate the year’s end the whole family can enjoy! Bring the little ones, the big ones and the in between ones for a fun-filled Sunday sesh! Devonstock 2017

This FREE festival is all about showcasing the tunes of the newest artists on the block including Molly + The Chromatics, up and coming indie-rockers Dirty Pixels, Slipstream, Freya, Theo Sawyer and Neon Flame. This all-age event will have you jamming to local music in the sun and tucking into some scrumptious food stalls for a great Sunday out. Once these talented musicians become our next Lorde, you can totally tell everyone you knew about them first!
