6 Date-friendly Hair And Make Up Looks

Hot date this week? Of course you do (insert winky face). Luckily for you busy lot, we here at The Urban List have got your hair and makeup looks covered with the latest hairstyles and beauty trends.

Tucked-in hair

To perfect this look, simply pull a coat or jumper over your head, keeping your hair trapped inside. A super-cosy look, this trend compliments the big knitted jumpers we’ve been rocking a lot of lately and is a fun way to play with having shorter locks when you’re too scared to take the plunge and chop them off for realsies!

Low-key cat eyes

Ideal for a date as they add a flirty element to your look, the low-key cat eye is totally different to the ‘night out’ cat eye. Let us explain: you’ve got to go understated with this one, so as not to alarm your date with cray cray eye make up. Keep it simple and it will subtly draw attention to your eyes. Win!

Plaits Aveda

Any kind of braids are a super-cute way to inject a bit of a fun into a date night hairstyle. We love plaiting the front of our hair and leaving the rest in loose, casual curls for a pretty but laid back look.

The no make up look

Obvs you’re not actually going to have no makeup on (that would just be insane), just less, creating a casual look, perfect for a chilled date. The key to this trend is to go for lots of nude shades—on your lips, skin and eyes, as well as brown mascara (for defined, yet not OTT eyes), and a dusting of bronzer. Voila!

Here at The Urban List, we’re usually bronzer gals. This winter, try adding a warming touch to your look with a rose blusher, creating a ‘just hopped of the slopes’ flush. Dreamy.

Half up half down

Half up, half down

We used to wear this one back in the day and we’re so happy it’s making a comeback! The perfect way to keep your hair off of your face but still down, try straightening the rest of your hair for a sleek look or leaving it wavy for an off-duty style.
