7 Of The Best Overseas Vacays For You And Your Best Friend

Vacationing with your BFF is a must-do for everyone, at least once. There will be ups and there will be downs but you can be absolutely sure that you will have the most fun you’ve ever had in your whole entire life! Every drink you have will be followed by “cheers to best friends!” or “Vaccccccayyyyy.” You’ll probs end up drinking way too many glasses of vino. You’ll take SO. MANY. PICTURES. You’ll end up borrowing each others’ clothes and not know whose is what by the end of the trip AND you’ll probs have at least one squabble…. but that’s what friend’s do, right?

We’ve come up with a list of seven of the best vacays for you and your best friend, because life is meant for exploring and taking your bestie along for the ride is half the fun. The hardest part will be deciding which holiday to take, because they’re all pretty damn amazing!

Go Wine Tasting In Tuscany, Italy

Tuscany or Enotris is the Land of Wine and for good reason! The area is filled with so many stunning vineyards just waiting for you and your bestie to visit. Italy is one of the most beautiful countries in world, so if you love good food and good wine, then you’ll love Tuscany. Guided wine tours are a popular option for travellers in the area and, let’s be honest, can you really think of a better way to bond with your best bud then over an epic bottle of vino or three? You may even want to do a little road tripping, driving to the Metropolitan Firenze or Florence and visit as many restaurants as you can. Eat alllll of the pasta and drink allll of the wine. La Terrazza Lounge Bar offers up some pretty spectacular views of the city and won’t break the bank, which is obvs a bonus! You might come home a few kilos heavier but that’s what holidays are for, right!?

Take In The Culture And Romance Of Paris, France

Ahhhh, Paris, the City of Love. Jetting off to Paris with your BFF is a must-do. Being with your ride or die, while visiting the Eiffel Tower and eating all of the croissants and macarons? Yes, please! Hire a moped (don’t forget your helmet) and jet around Paris, taking in all of the culture the city has to offer. Visit the Louvre, go see a show at the iconic Moulin Rouge, take a Seine river cruise, visit the Palace of Versailles and of course climb the Eiffel Tower. For lunch, stop at the famous Pierre Hermé’s pastry shop—Pierre is known in France for creating macarons that come in many different quirky flavours. The options are truly endless in Paris—the hardest part will be finding the time to fit them all in!

Take A Road Trip Around Ireland

There’s something pretty special about doing a road trip with your BFF. Making a playlist then singing along to alllll the songs and stocking up on your favourite snacks, the adventure of getting there is half the fun. So, what better place than to road trip around the magical country of Ireland? Start in Dublin and make your way to Limerick, stop at the mysterious Rock of Dunamase, the Cliffs of Moher and King Johns Castle. Then, from Limerick, drive to Killarney and on the way you could make a day trip the Ring of Kerry. This trip will take you around four or five days and is just the tip of the Irish iceberg, so you better get exploring!

Attend A Surf And Yoga Camp In Costa Rica

For good waves and good vibes, head to Costa Rica and attend a surf and yoga retreat with your bestie. Imagine taking a yoga session at sunrise then heading out into the waves for a surf on the sunny shores. Pranamar Villas and Yoga Retreat is a Balinese-inspired resort at the edge of Santa Teresa. Breakfast and yoga classes are included in the rate so this option is great for if you’re pinching pennies. Then there’s Hotel Vista de Olas in Mal Pais, which has a great communal feel to it, perfect for meeting other travellers. Our final option is Ylang Ylang Beach Resort which is just a short walk from the hippie town of Montezuma. Here you will find a lush forest surrounding the resort, home to monkeys and exotic birds—so make sure you’ve got your camera ready!

Get Lucky In Las Vegas

Feelin’ a bit lucky? Why not grab your best bud and head to Las Vegas, Nevada—the city that never sleeps. If you’re wanting more of a vacay that screams “LET’S PARTAAAAAY” then we’re thinking this option is a bit of you. Vegas has some mind-blowing places to stay—some of them are more fit for royalty then a BFF vacay but we’ve narrowed down the search to make things a little easier. For accommodation on the cheap, check out the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino, which has a poolside cabana bar and cabaret. For something a little more mid-range you could try the SLS Las Vegas which boasts a rooftop pool, spa, multiple nightclubs and dining areas. And finally, for something more luxurious, visit the Palazzo, a swanky resort and casino which offers everything plush rooms, nightclubs, live shows, a pool and spa and chić dining spaces. Viva Las Vegas!

You may come home broke but at least you’ll be happy AND you’ll have a shiny new wardrobe to make alllll of your friends green with envy! From boutiques to department stores and everything in-between, New York has it all. And, if you have time after all that shopping, you could even fit in a few touristy things to do as well.
