A Hot Sauce Festival Is Happening This Weekend

Listen up, hot sauce fiends! This Saturday is New Zealand’s very first hot sauce festival and it’s all going down in Auckland-town. And, if you like your sauces hot, this event has your name written all over it.

Held at Sweat Shop Brew Kitchen, the festival will showcase more than 100 sauces from 13 iconic New Zealand brands (think Fire Dragon Chillies, The Lucky Taco, Culley’s and Gringo Killer etc) as well as some smokin’ hot antics.

The festival comes after the popularity of last year’s Chilli-Eating Championship but this year things have been turned up a notch.

This Saturday’s festival will not only feature the return of the chilli-eating comp, but also a homemade hot sauce competition, chilli beer, fiery cocktails and a spicy food menu—all while White Chapel Jak play some sweet live tunes.

Tickets are just 20 bux and all ticket holders will receive a complimentary bottle of Fire Dragon Hot Sauce. Get on down and prepare to have your head blown off! Grab your tickets here.
