Aucklanders, prepare for your mind to be blown. The brilliant team behind the legendary Caretaker have opened up a hidden new bar right on Ponsonby Road.
Tucked away off the bustling strip, one step behind the door will have you whisked away to the new kid on the block, Deadshot. Taking you on a flashback of New Zealand heritage, the space is decked out with Edwardian furnishings that result in a visual feast that’ll have you falling in love with its intimate vibe and charming character. With ‘deadshot’ being cowboy jargon for strong liquor, you can count on this new spot to make sure your cocktail dreams come true.
A collaboration between dynamic duo Heather Garland, Alastair Walker and Britomart Hospitality, there’s no doubt this bad boy will soon be one of the hottest spots in town.
“We’re a friendly neighbourhood bar that takes booze very seriously,” says Heather. “Each member of our staff are bartenders, and with more than 1000 cocktail recipes, there’s definitely a little something for everyone."
And that’s no hyperbole—a quick glance at the bar will quickly prove there’s no limit to what wondrous concoction the team can craft for you. Running things a little differently to your usual, to keep things intimate cosy and cute, groups will be capped at a max of six to ensure only the best atmosphere for punters.
With everything from a focus on doing the classics right (and by right, we mean absolutely freakin’ amazing) to some originals of their own, simply discuss your preference for the perfect drink and let you personal bartender handle the rest! We don’t only guarantee you’ll leave with a smile on your dial, but an expanded knowledge of your fave bevy.
Still set on a cheeky brew or vino? Not to worry, they also carry a range of local beer and wine. And for those Sober D’s taking one for the team, there’s no need to miss out on the fun with a wicked selection of both house-made sodas and mocktails on offer. The sky’s the limit!
Dim dark, mysterious and undoubtedly enchanting, pay a visit to Deadshot now to check out the experience we’ll be raving about for months to come.
