It’s the Royal Show for beer lovers! WA's biggest beer festival is here with over 200 beers and ciders for you to tame your thirst with. We’re most excited about the Friday Frothies session which will see Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker spinning tunes and a heap of awesome eats from Gary’s Diner, El Grotto and Comido do Soul to name just a few, but there’s also a family friendly session on Saturday, heaps of party DJs on Saturday night and Daryl Braithwaite will be live on Sunday. Harry Potter Fundraiser At FurBaby Boutique And Cafe
Witches, wizards and yes, even muggles, grab your owls (pets) and get down to FurBaby to help raise some money for RSPCA tomorrow night! There will be prizes for the best dressed human and the best dressed pooch, you can BYO booze and get food from the cafe, and tickets are only $20, or $120 for a table. Switzerland At Black Swan State Theatre Company
Premiering in WA this weekend, acclaimed Australian production Switzerland will have you on the edge of your seat. The main character Patricia Highsmith is based on the real-life author of the same name, known for creating suspenseful novels such as Carol and The Talented Mr Rippley. Switzerland follows Patricia in her reclusive life in the Swiss Alps and the task she is faced with when a young man from her publisher comes demanding one final novel. Best Beard Competition At Ball & Chain
Not exactly your average Saturday night out, but if you're into beards, you might want to get to the Ball & Chain in Fremantle. There are five categories—full beard, partial beard, moustache, mutton chops and alternative—and there’s a $1500 prize pool. Not bad.
