When your weekend involves seafood, live outdoor music, soaking up the sun at beer and wine festivals and all the good bits in-between, you know the summer season of shenanigans has arrived.

Here are 11 amazing things to do in Perth this weekend. Clear your diaries. Ain't nobody got time for Netflix these days.

All Weekend

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS TRAIL LAUNCH

We know you guys were disappointed about the Forrest Place Christmas tree. But you know what's better than one tree? A whole gosh-darn Christmas lights trail. Yep, City of Perth are launching their Christmas Lights Trail this week. For the purists, the traditional 13m Christmas Tree will be moved to Murray Street Mall, and for everyone else, light-filled events will be popping up all over the city (including a Christmas market on the corner of William & Wellington Streets). So chilllll, Winston. Check the City of Perth website for all the festive deets. Happy holidays.

ROTTO FEST ON ROTTO

Kicking off Friday night and going all day Saturday and Sunday, Rotto will be turning into a stage, party and gala (but still with the barefooted deliciousness). The line-up is looking pretty epic with Arj Barker, Rhys Nicholson and Katie Burch taking centre stage, so grab your one day or weekend pass here.

TOM BLAKE EXHIBITION AT MOANA PROJECT SPACE

Tom Blake’s Downstairs Dreams exhibition opens tomorrow night in the city and runs through to early December. Expect a bucketload of beauty and wonder from his solo and collaborative pieces that float across moments and symbols. Deep stuff. Head here to read all about it.

MUSIC & MARRON FEST AT LOT 80 EAGLE BAY

Eagle Bay dream team Lot 80 have combined two of our summer favs: music and seafood. Local brews and wines, marron on the BBQ and in the paella, a donut bar and all the live music in between. Sound pretty sweet? Buy your tickets here (PSA: no door sales on this one, folks).

WA CRAFT BEER WEEK ACROSS VARIOUS LOCATIONS

Officially opening this week, the list of fun things to do with a frothie is endless, so just remember these guys: Clancy’s Freo, Nowhereman, Three Rivers, Caboose, Dutch Trading Co, Homestead Brewery, Petition, Rodney’s and of course Tusk Day. Check out the full weekend line-up of events here, and get amongst the local craft.

MARGARET RIVER GOURMET ESCAPE IN THE SOUTH WEST

Calling all food and wine snobs to the South West. It’s that time again! The time when we splurge, gorge, devour and get a lil star struck by all the celeb chefs walking around *Curtis Stone squeee*. Kick things off in style today at Castle Rock Beach. Book your spot here.

COKE PLUS COFFEE COCKTAIL CREATION @ BAR LAFAYETTE

ICYMI we’ve teamed up with Coca-Cola Australia and Bar Lafayette to create a magical (read: delicious) cocktail using Coke Plus Coffee as an ingredient. Concocted by the oh-so fabulous David 'Xander' Stucken himself, the Morning Manhattan is waaaaay better than it sounds. Think bourbon, Pedro Ximinez and Falernum mixed with a Coke Plus Coffee reduction. You can find it at Bar Lafayette until 30 November. See you there.

Saturday 18 November

LORDE LIVE AT KINGS PARK

Lordy lord (sorry it was too easy) are we getting excited about this one. For $100 you can sing along on the grass to our fav Kiwi in her Melodrama world tour. Tickets are available here—and trust us, you don’t want to miss her live.

THIRD BIRTHDAY PARTY AT LOT 20

From lunchtime onwards this Saturday, Northbridge’s sure thing, Lot 20, is celebrating their third birthday in that true signature style: bubbles & oysters baby! $5 paella and ceviche are on the cards, and the house will be shouting a round at 4pm. Book your table here.

SPRING AT THE RACES AT ASCOT RACECOURSE

All the usual suspects will come together once again on Saturday, but this time it’s for Breast Cancer Care WA. All funds raised will go to the emotional, practical and financial support for those with breast cancer. Good cause, good day. Buy your $160 ticket here.

Sunday 19 November

VIC PARK SUMMER STREET PARTY

Vic Park just continues to woo us, and we’re not complaining. Between midday and 9pm on Sunday, Albany Highway between Mint and Dane Street will be hustle and bustle and full of music, food and market stalls. All the deets can be found here.

Expect an Interactive cocktail class paired with thanks giving style nibbles.
