12 Excellent Things To Do In Perth This Weekend

While the weather isn’t looking all that bright, we’re forecasting that there will still be plenty to do if you're game enough to brave the outdoors. This weekend is stacked with events ranging from pop-up markets, boat parties, charity events, all-nighters and of course, indulging in ridiculous amounts of food and dranks.

Here are 12 excellent things to do in Perth this weekend!

Perth International Arts Festival 2017 | Everywhere!

Tomorrow is the first day of the Perth International Arts Festival so there is plenty to do! Our top picks are Lady Leshurr and Ngairre at the Chevron Festival Gardens and Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak—an amazing show of light, sound and imagery which will light up the trees at Kings Park. But if those don't tickle your fancy there is sure to be something else that does!

La Soiree | Perth

La Soiree is up there as one of our all time favourite Fringe shows and even if you saw it last year, we think you should go again. There are so many new artists this year that you won't be disappointed! The English Gents and Captain Frodo are still around and as good as ever, but it's the final act that will really knock your socks off and have you wishing you kept up your rollerskating as a kid!

Fraser's Pop Up Hawkers Market | Perth

Enjoy delish food and cold drinks under the stars in Kings Park. Coinciding with PIAF’s Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak, there will be four food trucks and a pop-up bar so you can enjoy this free event in style.

Knot Just A Boat Party | Fremantle

Settle in for a deck-adent experience on board the Astor as you revel in a sublime day of good food, good drinks and good times all the while supporting Ronald McDonald House Perth. Exhibition Opening—Southern Perspectives | Applecross  

This exhibition showcases raw, young talent from around Perth, with artwork created by the most talented year 12 graduates from schools located south of the river. It’s so good we’re just hoping another one pops off for those kids in the north.

Dome Date Night | West Perth

Looking to do something a little different for date night? We know taking a new flame to Scitech doesn’t seem like like a sure-fire way to secure a second date, but bear with us for a second. As part of Fringe, Dome Date Night will take y’all through a very impressive display of the night sky so you can expect to be wowed by the cosmos and the full-dome feature movie, Art Universe.

TruckStop | Bicton

Foodies, this is your one-stop food truck shop! Point Walter Reserve will be hosting more than 15 food trucks with cuisines from all over the globe! This shindig is family friendly so don’t be afraid to bring along the rugrats so they can start their foodie journey nice and early!

Running Touch | Northbridge

This Melbourne-bred talent has been dubbed #7 on the InTheMix artists to watch list and it's well deserved. Having only been in the circuit for a year, this legend has climbed the ranks of Australia’s music scene with his ethereal electronica and experimental indie pop tunes. Catch him for FREE this weekend! Hell yeah!

2017 Variety Ball | Perth

Time to suit up friends! Perth Arena will be decked out as an enchanted garden for a night of good food, plenty of drinks and one heck of a silent auction. So hustle the gang and get fancy this weekend while supporting the kids!

Up Late Featuring Lewi McKirdy | Northbridge

NAB AFL Women’s League

Heading into Perth on 12 February, the NAB AFL Women’s League is exciting for more than one reason and those reasons begin with a field full of lady athletes kicking butt and end with the fact that the games are completely free to attend. Some of the games are a BYO deck chair and picnic blanket situation, while others will see you kicking back in the grandstand. Regardless, there’s no need to book your tickets in advance, but you should head here for all of the deets.

The Boulevard Launch | North Perth
