Supernova At Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre
Calling geeks young and old, it’s the comic con and gaming exhibit of the year, Supernova. Day passes start at $32 and super-fan weekend passes are only $55 (available here). Winterworld At Fremantle Esplanade And Hilary’s Boat Harbour
Winterworld is back in town with ice rinks in Fremantle and Hillary's, falling flakes of snow, a giant snow pit for building snowmen, snowball fights, an ice toboggan and giant slide. With mulled wine and marshmallow roasting, maybe winter isn’t that bad after all? Open until 16 July, make sure you visit the website for tickets and details.
First Birthday Celebrations At Sweetwater Rooftop Bar
It’s hard to believe Sweetwater has only been around for a year because it’s safely secured its spot as one of our favourites places to go for Pan-Asian eats in Perth. As with any good birthday celebration, the festivities will continue all weekend long. Head down on Friday and Saturday between 5pm and 9pm and you’ll score $5 signature Sweetwater cocktails and roving canapes. Between 11:30am and 3:30pm on Sunday you can enjoy a free Madame Germaine cocktail on arrival and then from 3:30 to 7:30pm you’ll get a free small plate with any two cocktails purchased while you chill out to the DJ’s beats. Dustin Tebbutt and Lisa Mitchell at Newport Hotel
Fall in love with the whimsical and captivating voices of Dustin Tebbutt and Lisa Mitchell. Their A Distant Call tour will see them collab for the first time in an energetic 100 minute set. Remi & Sampa the Great at Capitol
Melbourne hip-hop duo Remi and Zambian-born, Botswana-raised Sampa The Great have joined forces for their Fire Sign Tour. Every show of the tour has been a surprise with alternating set times, hand picked supports and a joint finale. Tickets are $40+bf and are available here.
Pure Luxe Donates Auction
An event you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home, well I never! The Pure Luxe Donates Auction is back for a glorious 26 hours of bidding fun. This time around Pure Luxe will be donating the proceeds to Tiny Sparks WA, a charity which supports mums and bubs post birth as well as women experiencing high-risk pregnancies, so you can feel good about spending up big. The auction will kick off on the Pure Luxe Donates Instagram page at 7pm on Friday.
Art Gallery Opening at John Street Cafe

Winter Solstice Yoga Rave at Fremantle Yoga Centre
Yoga and raves aren’t a likely combo, but we have a feeling this trend will catch on. Head to the Fremantle Yoga Centre from 7pm to 10pm this Saturday and get creative with body paint before an hour-long yoga sesh. Then get your chant on and move into the world of dance with some beats. Tickets are $30 here and $40 at the door.
Wine Show By The Bay At University of Western Australia
With 40 tasting booths and over 200 wines to try this is the ultimate event for the wine connoisseur. Kicking off at 11am there will be a bunch of master classes including cheese making, Asado South American BBQ and 50 Shades Of Rose. Get more info and your $20 tickets here.
Port Coogee Makers Market
Local artisans will come together to launch the first Port Coogee Makers Market with a bang this Saturday. The markets will run on the fourth Saturday of every month and punters can expect plenty of beautiful creations like planters, jewellery, bath products, ceramics, kids clothing and floral accessories. Rhythm and Flow at Cottesloe Civic Centre
