Are you a) an aspiring jewellery maker? b) a lover of gourmet feasts? c) a die-hard rock fan? d) all of the above? Great, it’s settled then, because this week, Perth is putting on a bunch of super varied delights for everyone. As 'none of the above' is not an option in this quiz, you’ll simply need to go out, try new things and step outside of your evening TV binge.
Here are 5 awesome things to do in Perth this week.
Tuesday 17 October
ALICE COOPER AT PERTH ARENA
If anyone can host the perfect Halloween concert it’s Alice Cooper. Think fake blood, creepy dolls and a rock show that’ll freak you out. Welcome to your worst nightmare indeed (or perhaps a dream come true for some?) Tomorrow night from 7pm, it’s the Halloween Night Of Fear concert and tickets are selling out super fast so head here to book!
Wednesday 18 October
WAR ON PLASTIC AT PERTH CITY FARM
This Wednesday at Perth City Farm you can learn everything you need to know about sustainability, education, marine conservation and plastic recycling thanks to the GreenBatch team. Apparenty, WA has zero plastic reprocessing facilities (say whaaaa?) meaning all those plastic bottles you put in your green bin don’t get recycled in WA! It’s a free event and one worth checking out to make sure we’re all doing our bit and learning ways we can do better. Plus the Farm’s Twilight Market is on so you’ll be sure to fill up on delicious food truck treats. Everything you need to know can be found here.
COCKTAIL DINING TRAIL AT STATE BUILDINGS
If you’re anything like us and deciding between the dreamy restaurants inside State Buildings gives you anxiety, then the Cocktail Dining Trail is for you! Starting with cocktails and canapés at Wildflower, entrée at Long Chim, mains and matched wines at Petition and finishing with treats from The Treasury Lounge and Bar, this is a $190 foodie heaven! May your journey of Perth’s best flavours begin here.
Thursday 19 October
POLYMER CLAY WORKSHOP AT THE MAKER MOVEMENT
Angove Street local The Maker Movement is making a crafter out of all of us and this Thursday it’s all about polymer clay! Join Renee from Hello Polly at 6pm to channel your inner jewellery designer as you mould and create a personalised necklace and trinket dish. Walking away feeling like a boss is guaranteed. Plus it’s only $60 so grab some friends and book your spot here.
AN EVENING WITH VASSE FELIX AT WILDFLOWER
The south west’s dreamboat of a winery Vasse Felix is on show this Thursday at Wildflower. Seven premier vintage wines, five courses of perfectly presented plates from Wildflower, Vasse owner Paul Homes-a-Court and chief winemaker Virginia Willcock. They had us at Chardonnay. Once you’ve got your reservation all you need to do is hand over $195 and figure out how to get out of work on Friday!
