Not just because puppies are involved but also because it’s the start of WA Beer Week, Joondalup is getting lit, wedding season is in full force and all the global eats are available. FREO BEER FEST ON ESPLANADE PARK
Soak up the sun while you sip on WA brews, nom on local street food and take in the festival vibe this Saturday and Sunday in Freo. No worries if you’re not into beer—there’ll be plenty of cider makers and distillers pouring up all sorts of deliciousness. Tickets start from $20. You can grab yours here.
KALEIDOSCOPE FESTIVAL AT JOONDALUP CITY CENTRE
Following on from its raging success last year, the free light and illumination festival is back and better than ever. All weekend from 5pm you can wander through the insanely amazing art installations while eating and drinking local treats. Sound good? All the info you need is over here.
HOME OPEN AT THE DOGS REFUGE HOME
Please. Like we would ever miss the Dog Refuge Home's weekend of all things puppers. They had us at 'puppy-kissing booth' (!!) but there are loads of other activities, stalls, food etc. to keep everyone entertained. Click here for a full list of what to expect. Cat people, go elsewhere.
LINK DANCE COMPANY AT WAAPA
Kicking off tonight and going through to Saturday is the WAAPA dance graduates and Link Dance Companies' performance of the contemporary piece, Im Spiegel. This is sure to be 45 minutes of jaw-dropping movement. One for the movers and shakers out there. Book your seat here.

WEDDING OPEN MARKET AT STACKWOOD
We didn’t think we could love Stackwood any more than we already do...then they went and opened up their dreamboat warehouse into a dreamboat wedding venue. MT HAWTHORN HAWKERS MARKETS
The start of November means a) Christmas carols are now acceptable, b) jumpers can finally be packed away, and c) Mt Hawthorn hawkers markets are back!
