He’s already mastered whisky and gin, and now he’s taking on the world of tequila. That’s right, the genius behind Varnish on King and The Flour Factory, Andy Freeman, is about to open another bar in Perth’s CBD, and the name of the game is tequila!
Caballitos will be opening at 26 Queen Street, just a hop, skip and a tequila shooter away from his other venues, in the space that used to be 1907 and Bluzou Bar.
The team has been sourcing some of the best tequilas and mezcals you’ll ever taste, but the drink we’re most excited about is the lagerita—a frozen margarita topped with an icy cold cerveza. Salud!
While Caballitos is definitely a place you go for a drink, not a meal, there will be some drool-worthy Mexican eats courtesy of the group’s executive chef Danny Sanchez. So, if you’ve ever eaten at Varnish on King or The Flour Factory, you’ll be chomping at the bit to get your hands around these bites!
