You heard it here first, folks! A massive winter festival is coming to the south west this year and it’s set to be epic.

Running from 14 to 23 July, Cabin Fever is making its way to the Margaret River region and bringing with it something to suit every foodie’s and wino’s fantasies—from perfectly paired degustations and luncheons to masterclasses in chocolate and cheese making. Who said winter was for hibernating?

Pack your winter best and book some accommodation down south stat because you don’t want to miss this one!

Enjoy Fondue And Wine By The Fire

Howard Park Winery, 15, 16, 22 and 23 July, 12—4pm

Tuck Into Five Courses Of Food And Wine

Vasse Felix Restaurant, Saturday 15 July, 6:30—10:30pm

Celebrating 50 years of squishing grapes, Vasse Felix is inviting you to join them for a delicious five course dinner to pay homage to the evolution of their cab sav. Each dish will be paired with a drop from the last five years, culminating in the 2013 Tom Cullity, released this year. Partake In The Paddock To Plate Organic Farm Walk

Burnside Organic Farm, 18 to 20 July, 11am—1:30pm

Not only will you learn how to make your veggie patch and fruit trees thrive, this walk will take you through Burnside Organic Farm’s avocado, olive, caper and grape crops and conclude with a farm harvest lunch and wine tasting in the wine cellar. Make Wine, Forage For Food And Cook Up A Storm

Aravina Estate, 14, 17 and 21 July, 9am—3pm

Foodies, this event is for you. You’ll kick off your day by taking a stroll through Aravina’s vineyard before finding yourself in the barrel room, blending your own wine. Then Executive Chef Ben Day will teach you all about foraging for food and he’ll help you to catch fresh marron in the vineyard’s lake which you’ll later get to cook over an open fire. The day will end with a five course degustation paired with Aravina’s delicious wines, and you’ll walk out with a full belly and your very own wine blend.
