Nothing says romance quite like breaking out of your day-to-day routine. Why not a complete location switch-up with a night or two away at a hotel with your squeeze? Say hello to a night of luxury, mini bar treats, and fluffy oversized robes.
For the full boujee influencer experience we suggest Capella Singapore on Sentosa or the InterContinental Singapore on Middle Road, but you can find a full list of the best hotels in Singapore here and the best hotels in Sentosa here.
Sip Your Way Through A Gin Tasting
Whether you’re a gin aficionado or you simply fancy a good G&T, the Tanglin Gin Distillery at Dempsey Hill is the perfect place for your next date night. The distillery tour includes an introduction to Tanglin Gin, a walk through their distilling facility and of course, a tasting at their Tanglin Gin Jungle.
While you’re there, don’t forget to pick up a bottle of their Singapore Gin to take home. It harnesses the vibrant flavours of traditional Asian ingredients like young ginger and kaffir lime leaves which are then distilled with chilli, cassia, and mandarin peel.

Hit The Trails On A Hike
When you’re affronted with searing humidity the last thing on your mind might be heading outdoors on a date, but when the outdoors promises stunning forests, nature reserves and treetop walks the sweaty upper lip is more than worth it.
Ranging from an easy three-kilometre boardwalk jaunt to an 11-kilometre four-hour hike, MacRitchie Reservoir Park is a good start point with a wide range of trails to choose from depending on your skill (and energy) level.
Dive Into The Deep Unknown

For a date that will have you getting along swimmingly, there’s no better choice than the S.E.A. Aquarium. As one of the world’s largest aquariums, it’s home to a staggering 100,000 marine animals across more than 40 habitats. You’ll come face-to-face with sharks, rays, octopuses, jellyfish, eels, and more fish than you can believe.

Cook Your Way To Their Heart
Sometimes you just can’t beat a home cooked meal, especially when it’s been made with love. At One Kind House, Mummy Soh's farm-to-table cooking class has become somewhat of an institution.
During the class you’ll learn how to make a traditional-style chicken curry from scratch and harvest herbs and vegetables from their organic garden for a frittata and blue pea flower rice. At the end of the session, you will get to feast on your creations as well as a selection of greens, seasonal fruit and dessert. Should you fancy a glass of wine while cooking, you can take your own at no extra charge.

Add candles to anything and it instantly feels romantic. So, it should come as no surprise at all that when you pair hundreds of flickering candles and a live orchestra, something pretty damn magical happens: suddenly the urge to blurt out your first “I love you” goes waaaayyyy up.
Fever is known for throwing the dreamiest Candlelight Concerts in Singapore, with a string of different musical-themed nights. From Queen to Coldplay, Taylor Swift to Fleetwood Mac—you're bound to find something that'll make your partner feel super special.
Tackle An Escape Room
There is no better way to bond than over solving a mystery together. At Trapped on Orchard Road, you and your date can attempt to break free from a high-security prison after being convicted for a crime you didn’t commit or try your luck as a paranormal investigator trying to unravel the mysteries of an abandoned hostel.
Whatever you decide, you and your date will be armed with nothing but your code-cracking and puzzle solving skills—it’s the perfect way to see how they perform under pressure. Check out our full list of the best escape rooms in Singapore here.

If floating away your troubles in a sparkling lagoon sounds like your kind of date, then a trip to St John’s Island is a must. Stroll around the island, brimming with greenery, pack a picnic and cool off at the beach or in the lagoon.
At low tide you’ll be able to spy all the incredible marine life that call St John’s home. Animal lovers will be stoked to know the island is also home to a crew of cats who are always up for a snuggle and pat. And if you’re loving island life so much, you can even stay the night at one of the bungalows.
To get there, simply catch the ferry from Marina South Pier—no passport required.
Get Your Skates On
Stretching along 15km of coastline, East Coast Park isappetite the ideal location for an active date that won’t break the bank. Heading out of the city, stop in at Coastline Leisure to hire inline skates or a bike (prices start from $11 for three hours), before heading along the ECP’s well-maintained cycle paths at your own pace as the sun gently sets.
Once you've worked up an appetite, swing by Fico and pick up one of their new Rent-A-Picnic bundles. Perfect for two, they can be ordered and picked up at their kiosk and then enjoyed by the beach. Each set comes with a picnic basket and mat.
Catch A Light And Water Show
Image credit: Marina Bay Sands | Supplied
When the sun goes down, head to Gardens by the Bay and catch Garden Rhapsody—a free musical display that brings the park’s iconic 50m supertrees to life at 7.45pm and 8.45pm. Just around the corner, Marina Bay Sands offers up Spectra, an epic 15-minute light and water show on the Marina Bay waterfront. Expect colourful visual projections, fountain jets and plenty of lasers—displayed Sunday to Thursday at 8pm and 9pm, and Fridays and Saturdays at 9pm and 10pm.
If you’re over at Sentosa, wander along to Magical Shores at Siloso Beach from 7.30pm to 9.30pm for a multi-sensory light and sound experience, or head across to the Sentosa Musical Fountain at 4pm, 5pm or 6pm to relive the iconic display that’s been kicking around since the eighties.
Embark On A Night Safari
Looking for something seriously cool to do after dark in Singapore with your date? Then the Night Safari should be at the top of your list. The first of its kind in the world, the safari operates from 6:30pm to 12am, giving you access to some of the coolest—and scariest—animals at night.
Cruise around the park either by foot or tram and see what the resident tigers, elephants, hippos and lions get up after the sun goes down. There are a bunch of shows to check out too, like the nightly Indian Rhino feeding and the Creatures of the Night show featuring birds of prey.
Kick Back And Relax At A Beach Club
Whether laid-back tiki vibes or golden-hour glamour is your scene, you can be sure of one thing—comfy beach loungers, tasty cocktails, delicious food and stunning sea views are all a beach club prerequisite.
Although Sentosa is home to a range of different beach clubs, one of our favourites is +Twelve. The adults only venue boasts 12 terraced cabanas with private plunge pools and a main pool with a swim-up bar. Add to that top DJs, unparalleled views of the sea, a sophisticated menu of summer cuisine, along with expertly curated cocktails and you are in for the perfect Sentosa beach club experience with your date.
Enjoy A Boujee Dinner At A Michelin Star Restaurant
Ok, this one is a dinner date—but it’s a dinner date with a difference. Instead of just sitting down to any old regular meal, we recommend making a reservation at one of Singapore’s Michelin-starred restaurants. The ultimate hallmark of culinary excellence, the Michelin guide uses five criteria to assess these restaurants: mastery of technique, quality of ingredients, value for money, chef's personality and consistency—so you know you’ll be enjoying the best of the best.
If you’re really looking to go all out and don’t mind spending a decent amount of cash, we recommend Cloudstreet. With a tasting menu that champions ingredient-driven cuisine and seasonality, you can expect to be taken on a journey of innovation. Alternatively, Burnt Ends brings the heat in the most delicious way. One of the hottest tables in town some seven years after opening, this hip barbeque joint is a tribute to “the magic that comes from cooking with wood”, with a custom-made four-tonne, two-oven brick kiln as its beating heart.
