Diner En Blanc Hampers

Heading to Diner en Blanc this year and freaking out about what to bring? If you don’t already know, it’s probably the fanciest picnic you’re ever going to go to, but at the same time it oozes that effortless French charm, so you don’t need to stress too much.

For a picnic this incredible, you’re going to need a hamper to match, so here are Perth’s best hampers to bring along to Diner en Blanc.

And while you’re there we’ve provided a few extra tips to make your experience a little easier so you can spend more time focussing on how you’re going to win the prize for the best styled table. This year the winner scores return airfares and seven nights’ accommodation for two people in either Paris or New York, plus tickets to attend Diner en Blanc in that city.

Walt’s Cnr Deli

An official partner of Diner en Blanc, Walt’s Cnr Deli has some incredible packages to get around, but their Tres Bien Board is fabuleux. $75 will get you expertly curated dishes from Walt’s own Maddie Coomer; think black truffle duck liver pate, La Hoguera jamon serrano and a sourdough baguette, roasted Lilydale chicken with kohlrabi, yam bean and sesame dressing, and hot smoked ocean trout with Kipfler potatoes, dill and Coomer Farm black truffle mayo.

Table & Plate

It wouldn’t be a picnic without cheese, and Table & Plate’s Cheese & Bits board is just what you need to elevate your Diner en Blanc experience. Filled with triple cream brie, raclette and blue stilton (all from Margaret River), sea salted dark chocolate shards, walnuts, dried fruits and lavosh, this $32 cheese board packs a punch with wooden serving knives included.

Sieve & Stone

Dessert is a must after any meal, especially when you’re living it up like the French. Hit up Sieve & Stone before Diner en Blanc and get your mitts on their $32 dessert box. Perfectly portioned for two, the box features a coconut and vanilla sponge with white chocolate buttercream, raspberry frangipane tarts with homemade marshmallow, and some lychee and champagne macarons.

Smoult’s Larder

Hampers from Smoult’s Larder are the perfect embodiment of picnic food. They include premium ham and salami, a French baguette, hummus, a selection of cheeses, antipasto, and even chocolate for later; all for $40.

The Food Philosopher

If you really want to know the meaning of life, it’s trying the amazing hampers from The Food Philosopher. They have heaps on offer, ranging from $50 to $85, with various food themes to tie your night together. Pick up some fresh, crusty bread and try their deluxe jam or their Antipasto Adonis set (or both).

Nosh Gourmet Gifts

Nosh is built for gourmet baskets. They’ve got an extensive range of hampers; from savoury to sweet, with or without alcohol, and some especially for cheese lovers. Plus, they’ve got plenty of add-ons so you can have some fun with customisation.

If you’re looking for unique treats in your hamper, head to The Black Truffle. They make all their baskets in-store using their own gourmet ingredients, and each one is different from the next. Black Truffle’s hampers are ready made, but if you want to make your own, they also do custom hampers so you can build the perfect picnic lunch.
