Time to bust out those winter woollies, Perth, because the wet season will be well and truly gracing us with its presence on Thursday, and coming with it are a whole lot of awesome shows to catch as part of the Subiaco Theatre Festival.
Kicking off on 7 June and running until 1 July, the Subiaco Arts Centre will be awash with award-winning plays to wrap your mind around. Whether you catch one or manage to get to all of them, you’re sure to be entertained.

THE ONE By Jeffrey Jay Fowler
Wednesday 7 To Saturday 10 June
Hot off the stage at Fringe World, THE ONE by Jeffrey Jay Fowler is an award-winning play that will soothe your cold, cold heart. Based on the relationship of a couple that turns south after a proposal, you’ll find out all about the dark history of marriage set to the sounds of rhythm and blues. Get tickets here.
Wednesday 14 To Saturday 17 June
Get ready for more relationship dram-ah, 10,000 is the story of two people trying to save their marriage by playing a video game. Expect comedy, fantasy, science fiction, swordplay and a whole lot of '90s action adventure fun—basically everything that makes playing a video game worthwhile. Tickets available here.
Wednesday 21 To Saturday 24 June
What if you had a heart transplant and became inexplicably connected to another person? That’s the idea explored in Heart Lines, a play written and directed by Kerry Bowden. Watch Noah, a heart transplant recipient, as he reflects on his life post transplant, interspersed with vignettes of a fun-loving group of university students—before their lives are changed forever. The Great Ridolphi
Wednesday 28 June To Saturday 1 July
A multi-award-winning show, The Great Ridolphi follows Victor on a quest to uncover his late father’s involvement in stealing a Francesco Goya masterpiece. But there’s one catch, his father was an illusionist so it’s not going to be an easy feat! You don’t want to miss this show that features one of Perth’s best actors, Steve Turner. Buy tickets here.
