Hunt Down Perth’s Best Easter Treats

By Frida Larsson - 08 Apr 2017

Easter is just around the corner and for most people, this means putting your regular eating habits on hold and getting right into that holiday sweetness. Whether you’re looking to indulge in delicious homemade milk chocolate, healthy organic treats or spiced cocktails we know the places to go to in Perth.

Here are a few of the best spots to find Easter treats in Perth this year.

The Flour Factory

Perth

The Flour Factory understands our unhealthy obsession with hot cross buns and gin, so they’ve gone and combined the two! Their hot cross gin is a winning concept and it’s probably our new favourite Easter treat. You'd be a fool to miss out on this.

Sugar & Nice

Inglewood

If there’s one thing better than a Cadbury crème egg, it’s the crème egg slice and Sugar & Nice in Inglewood. With a brownie base, crème egg filling and a chocolate topping, this is Easter done right.

Margret River Chocolate Factory

Swan Valley, Margret River and Perth

We love all kinds of sweet treats but let’s be honest—It’s not Easter without chocolate. Margaret River Chocolate Factory has all of your holiday chocolate cravings sorted—from delicious milk chocolate freckle Easter eggs and rocky road filled eggs to traditional Easter bunnies and even quokkas! Hot tip: if you get a quokka instead of a bunny this year you'll be helping to raise funds to support these adorable animals!

Gabriel Chocolate

Fremantle and Yallingup

If you’re a chocolate connoisseur, Gabriel Chocolate in Fremantle and Yallingup has the most delicious holiday treat for you. This chocolate maker imports only the best raw cacao and relies on the naturally occurring flavours of different cacao bean varieties. Swing by for one of their famous chocolate bars or an Easter bunny and explore a whole new level of delicious.

The Guildford Hotel

Guildford

The beautifully restored Guildford Hotel is the perfect place to spend Easter with a group of friends. If you’re up for a cocktail treat, swing by for their Social Sunday Session and have a special mocha martini DIY Cocktail with a crème egg garnish. Easter treats in liquid form have never tasted better.

The Re Store

Leederville and Northbridge

Easter is surely a time for tradition but honestly, how many traditional chocolate bunnies can you really eat? If you’re looking for something a little more unique, pay a visit to The Re Store and try one of their beautifully painted eggs filled with chocolate truffle from Germany. How cool is that?!

Koko Black

Claremont and Perth

Koko Black is always a winner for chocolate treats, so it’s no surprise that it’s one of our go-to's for Easter. The speckled eggs with a hard candy outer shell and nut praline centre and the salted cashew nut brittle in 54% dark chocolate are two of our Easter favourites. If you’re too busy (or just lazy) to go to one of their stores, you can easily get your treats through the online shop. Win

La Belle Sweets

Lathlain

Nothing says Easter like traditional Hot Cross Buns. Lovely La Belle Sweets has played to their strengths—pastries—and turned the classic hot cross bun into a beautiful hot cross scroll. Just when you thought Easter couldn’t get any sweeter.

John Walker Chocolatier

Garden City, Karrinyup and Perth

Family-owned John Walker Chocolatier’s hand-made chocolates are simply irresistible. It’s not easy to find your favourite among all these delicious treats, however, the Rocky Road slabs is a goody that we can’t get enough of. These guys have a chocolate factory outlet located in Belmont. Yes, it’s true—a chocolate outlet in Perth!

Pana Chocolate

Various stockists around Perth

If you’re into raw, organic, vegan, gluten free and dairy free options for your Easter treats Pana Chocolate is the only way to go. While the Pana Chocolate range can be found in plenty of supermarkets around Perth, you'll have to head to Dunn & Walton in Doubleview to get your hands on Easter treats like the caramel lava eggs and Pana pops! You can also jump on the website and order an Easter hamper which is choc-full of solid vanilla chocolate bunnies, sour cherry Easter eggs and more.
