It's cold and all you want to do is stay under the covers. We get it, and so does The Wandering Matilda. That's why she has created this deliciously easy and super quick banana and peanut butter porridge recipe to get you moving in the morning.
All you need to do is chuck it all in a pot and stir for five minutes. Easy!
- 1 1/4 cup oats
1 banana, sliced
1tbs unsweetened smooth peanut butter
1 1/4 cup milk of your choice
2tbs chopped cashews—walnuts and almonds will also work
1tbs honey plus extra to serve
Sprinkle of chia seed to serve (optional)
Add all the ingredients to a small pot and bring to a gentle simmer over a low heat.
Stir until the banana and peanut butter are sufficiently 'mushed' through and the oats are cooked—around five minutes should do. If you prefer a runnier porridge add a little extra milk.
Serve with extra honey, banana, cashews and sprinkle over some chia for extra points.
