Keen to get your drink on without the nasty hangover? We feel you. As much as it’s fun to go out on the town, sometimes you just don’t feel like getting boozy. Thankfully there are plenty of bars in Perth that have you covered with some tasty non-alcoholic beverages, so you can still get in on the party action without feeling like death warmed up the next day.
Here’s where you can find super delicious, alcohol-free drinks around Perth.
Hylin Back Bar
The absolute legends at Hylin Back Bar well and truly have your non-alcoholic needs covered, with a complete section of their drinks menu dedicated to booze-free enjoyment. Think fresh fruity mocktails like the Dark ‘n’ Strawberry and Innocent Mojito, plus alcohol-free beer, soft drinks and a delicious Ginless ‘n’ Tonic.
We all know by now that Henry Summer pours some damn good cocktails, but for those of us who prefer our drinks without an ensuing headache, they also offer a seasonal mocktail. All you have to do is ask your server for the current weekly special.
Peruse the drinks menu at Bar Lafayette and you won’t be disappointed with their selection of faux cocktails. Choose from classics like the Virgin Mary, and house-made sodas flavoured with ingredients that change on the regular. Or you might like to try our personal favourite; the Immaculate Mojito, made with fresh granny smith apple juice.
While we typically enjoy our Mexican with a side of tequila, El Publico also has a very tasty range of non-alcoholic beverages on offer. The hibiscus soda is not to be missed, and they also offer fresh apple juice, lime mint fresca, and orangeade. All perfect for washing down a taco or two.
Market Grounds is slinging two delicious mocktails made with Seedlip's tasty range of non-alcoholic distilled spirits. There's the Summer Garden made with Seedlip Garden, elderflower syrup, lime juice and soda, and the Spice Garden made with Seedlip Spice, strawberries, mint, ginger ale and lemonade. Both are delightful and 100% alcohol-free.
Sure, Measure Bar has a mean cocktail list, but they definitely haven’t neglected those of us who prefer to stick with the mocktails. They’ve got two tasty options to choose from; the Lychee Raspberry Kiss for those with a sweet tooth, and the Scoville Jr made with ginger beer, lime and chilli for those who prefer a little more spice.
The mocktails at Halford Bar are so damn good you won’t even notice the lack of booze. But if you do feel like adding a little kick they’ve thoughtfully provided suggestions on what goes with what. Our favourite has to be the Passion Soda, made with tangy passionfruit, lime, ginger and soda.
We love the creativity that goes into a good mocktail and Duende doesn’t fail to deliver on flavour. The Poached Pear and Cardamom Charger packs a real punch, and for something a little sweeter you can’t go past the Strawberry Basil Cooler.
Navigate your way to the Driving Range section of Holey Moley’s menu and you’ll be pleasantly rewarded with four unique non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. We love the Mr Bean, which is essentially an espresso martini sans martini. Think Little Drippa espresso with vanilla, milk, chocolate topping and whipped cream.
Or maybe you’d prefer not to go out because sometimes it’s a hassle and you just want to throw a nice booze-free party at home. This is where Club Soda can help. They recently launched their huge range of non-alcoholic drinks here in Perth, along with the mantra “drink yourself sober”. They offer an extensive range of beverages, plus event catering, and have created heaps of delicious drinks recipes for you to download from their website. If you're still keen to head out on the town, Club Soda will soon be launching their very first brick and mortar store in Australia dedicated to low alcohol and no alcohol drinks.
