NOOD has been around for a few years now with pop up shops in the CBD and Cottesloe, and meals stocked around Perth. But recently they’ve opened a cafe in Leederville and I for one couldn’t be more delighted. Making nutritious food that tastes absolutely amazing, NOOD is the perfect spot to grab a mid-week lunch to go, but the space is so beautiful that it’d be a shame not to stick around. So let them warm your lunch up, put it on a plate and enjoy your eats in the cafe.

In the middle of a busy week with no time to think about lunch, I knew I could count on NOOD to keep me going, and that they did! I walked in and left with an armful of goodies!

The nasi goreng is made with cauliflower rice and turmeric lemongrass tofu skewers. It’s so darn tasty you don’t even miss the real rice. The flavours are fresh and crazy delicious, and the satay sauce, spicy kimchi and pickled veg amp the dish up to the next level making it one of my absolute favourites. For those of you not so into tofu, NOOD have plenty of options like Mexican chilli con carne with beef, salmon sushi bowls and herb baked chicken.

Making everything themselves, the cabinet is full of delicious breads—if you’re looking for some good toast options for breakfast, NOOD is your spot. They've also got fresh salads and some of the most amazing cakes you’ll ever lay eyes on.

I grabbed the spring salad—quinoa, peas, the tastiest Brussels sprouts and some lemon-y goodness—and it legit tasted like spring in a bowl. Not one to ever say no to dessert, I also took a piece of the vegan lemon curd tart which is made with tofu… yes, I said tofu. I shared this with a couple of others and kept that little titbit of information to myself until after they finished. They devoured it in a few seconds and would never have guessed. It was sweet, tangy and everything you’d ever want a lemon tart to be.

The team here also dish out some amazing coffee, matcha lattes and turmeric lattes, as well as Pressed Earth juices, kombucha and coconut kefir—so you can always count on them when you’re feeling a little lack-lustre in the nutrient department.
