Clear your calendar, because Westfield’s Taste. Shop. Play is back for another weekend of epic pop-ups brimming with drool-worthy eats, makeup tutorials and creative exhibits.
It’s all going down on Saturday and Sunday, 7-8 September across three Westfields in Western Australia. So, no matter your postcode or preference there’s sure to be something for everyone.
With retro fashion trends gracing the catwalk, the resurfacing of mullets and Stranger Things taking the world by storm, it’s clear the 80s are having an epic resurgence. If you’ve been contemplating trying the trend out for size, the time is now, with a mass of 80s-inspired pop-ups about to surface near you.
If you’re looking to teleport back to a time when synths were big and hair was even bigger, Westfield Carousel will be pumping retro tunes with a live DJ set plus a silent disco and neon photo booth in the Colour Cube. If you’re still keen for more, head on over to Westfield Whitford City and catch live bands playing everyone’s favourite 70s and 80s bangers all weekend long.
If you’re looking to release your inner child, make sure to dive into the giant, kaleidoscopic ball pit at Whitford Brewing Company or hit up the 80s-inspired glam station, thanks to The Body Shop, at Westfield Whitford City.
If you’re like us and love revisiting an old classic, head to Westfield Carousel to whip up your very own creamy retro spider. And if your sweet tooth is still stinging for more, make a beeline for Westfield Whitford City and take advantage of their retro treat bar where you can pimp your own ice cream and snap up ‘Stranger Things’ flavoured ice cream at Baskin and Robbins. To top it all off, Hungry Jacks will have their very own retro drinks pop-up while Krispy Kreme will play host to a drool-worthy doughnut decorating workshop.
Westfield Innaloo will join in the celebrations with their nostalgic ‘Pass the Parcel’ promotion, letting shoppers unwrap a layer of the parcel when they spend over $60 for the chance to win gift cards and more.
Like we needed another reason to hit the shops.
