Summer is synonymous with clear skies, balmy weather, blissful beach days and an absolutely stacked events calendar. From nostalgic 80s dance parties to drool-worthy long lunches and legendary gigs, we’ve rounded up all the best events going down in Perth this summer.

To ensure you make your way seamlessly to these epic events (and save some serious coin), we've teamed up with DiDi, Perth’s newest ridesharing service. Not only can you get your hands on epic deals, you can also score a free ride to the value of $20 across two glorious DiDiDAYS: Saturday 23 and 30 November. Plus, if you’re new to DiDi in Perth, download the app and enter the code URBANLIST to get yourself an additional $20 in ride vouchers. So, save that cash and consider your summer sorted.

Get Ready To Party Like It’s The 80s

Tease that hair, throw on your trashiest 80s get up and head to the rooftop ballroom at Aloft Perth on Friday, 6 December for a Christmas party like never before. Expect all the best hits of the 80s, canapes, food stations, free-flowing drinks (including cocktail slushies), photobooths (necessary to capture all the leg warmers and teased hair) and prizes for best dressed. This is an end-of-year party not to be missed, so grab your tickets here before they’re gone. We’ll see you there.

Ring In The New Year With Style

Sure, we love a good NYE house party but Perth is delivering a bunch of unmissable, standout events for you to ring in the new decade. Hit up Origin Fields at Wellington Square on NYE and New Year’s Day and feast your ears on the sweet, sultry beats from Rufus Du Sol, Golden Features, RL Grime and so many more. If you’re on the hunt for a solid New Year’s party paired with an epic view, hit up QT’s rooftop. They’re dishing up delicious bites, flowing cocktails and live beats from Berly Streep and DJ Nas.

A massive event that’s sold out five years in a row, we highly recommend grabbing your tickets to Bar Pop NYE Party at The Ice Cream Factory Summer Festival. Expect six stages, 11 bars, a massive silent disco, pop-ups from some of Perth’s best eateries, rides, activations and so much more. Throw it back to the 90s and noughties this NYE at The Sewing Room. They’ll be playing all the best beats from the Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls and Wheatus. The night promises pure nostalgic joy so don’t waste another second, grab your tickets here.

Load Up On Drool-Worthy Eats

Kicking off 28 November, the Fremantle Long Table Dinner is here to satisfy your cravings for a worthy cause. Raise funds to help end homelessness while feasting on an indulgent three-course dinner washed down with premium wine and beer. You’ll be seated at a stunning table that stretches all the way down High Street with the festivities spilling down into the side streets with live entertainment, pop-up food vendors and bars. If a sit-down dinner isn’t for you, bring a picnic blanket and grab a bite and drink from one of the many drool-worthy pop-up vendors. Not only are you helping to raise funds for homelessness but The Freo Long Table Dinner is the perfect way to spend a summers day.

Dive Into Mosh Pits

Bust out your bucket hat and lace up your Docs because there’s a heap of epic gigs happening this summer. Everyone’s favourite Falls Festival Fremantle returns to Fremantle 4 January for two days of mosh pits, epic home-grown talent, like Perth boys Crooked Colours, and huge international names, like Halsey, Disclosure and Vampire Weekend. There’s also For The Love festival going down on 29 February 2020 with another epic lineup. Catch Hayden James, Safia, Touch Sensitive and loads more on stage. If you can’t wait until next year to get your music fix, mark 30 November in your calendar because Sticky Fingers is coming to town for one night only. We can’t wait.

Gear Up For FRINGE WORLD

Our beloved FRINGE WORLD is returning 17 January to 16 February 2020 and it’s stacking up to be bigger and better than ever before. For the first time ever, FRINGE WORLD Festival is taking over the historic art-deco Girls School and transforming it into the second biggest FRINGE WORLD destination in 2020. There’s going to be everything from blockbuster theatre performances to smash-hit musicals and even a secret bar. Everyone’s favourite playground, Woodside Pleasure Garden returns along with The Ice Cream Factory dishing up great vibes and delicious shows. With over 700 events, there’s a hell of a lot to get excited about at FRINGE WORLD Festival 2020.
