Bazaar 2017 | 1—3 December
Fremantle Arts Centre
WA’s best Christmas market returns on the first weekend in December and while it's not actually free, it's so cheap—two bucks!—it might as well be. Bazaar, the annual three-day shopping extravaganza, features more than 50 local artisans showcasing and selling their wares. You’ll find unique WA-designed jewellery, fashion, ceramics, sculpture, woodwork, textiles and more. The annual market runs from Friday night until Sunday afternoon and is the perfect place to pick up high quality, one-of-a-kind gifts for loved ones this Christmas.
Cottesloe Village Christmas Party | 1 December
Napolean Street, Cottesloe
Napolean Street will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland for this free festive event. Think live entertainment, music, street performers, food stalls from local restaurants and bars, shopping and the best part—drink tastings from Vasse Felix, Moët & Chandon & Hendrick's Gin. Merry bloody Christmas!
Conscious Christmas Collective | 2 December
Tonic Yoga, Northbridge
You can’t feel guilty about splurging on Christmas gifts when it’s for a good cause. On the first Sunday in December, the streets of Leederville will come alive for this rad annual free event. Oxford Street will play host to a bevvy of food, live art, outdoor restaurants, cafes, pop‐up bars, market stalls, family attractions and rides, live music across various entertainment stages, art installations and roving performers.
Markets By The Sea | 3 December
Whitfords Nodes Park
This is the first year for Markets By The Sea in Perth’s northern ‘burbs. Expect to enjoy laidback beachy feels while browsing some of Perth’s most unique and boutique market stalls selling clothing, homewares, unique jewellery, children's products, plants and art. Plus there will be live acoustic sounds, food truck eats, and by-donation yoga class if you’re feeling bendy.
Made On The Left Christmas Market | 9 & 10 December
Perth Cultural Centre
This annual Christmas Market extravaganza, which runs over two days, will offer a smorgasbord of more than 60 amazing WA designers—true story, all the showcased products are either handmade by the designer or fully produced in WA. You’ll also get to witness the sounds of smoking hot brass section, Junkadelic, who play a blend of New Orleans inspired street rhythms, all on recycled percussion. How cool is that?
Soukouss Internationale Live | 10 December
Fremantle Arts Centre
If you want to witness the most energetic, dance-floor-filling band in all the land, get down to the Freo Arts Centre courtyard for this free live music event. Soukouss Internationale brings gorgeous vocal melodies, pumping Congolese rhythms and scorching guitar to showcase authentic, energetic African music that’s will have you on your feet in a matter of minutes.
Christmas Night Market | 14 December
Palmyra Western Farmers Market
Spread some festive cheer at this free local Christmas night market. Running from 5pm til 9pm, the Palmyra Western Farmers Market will transform into a Christmas wonderland with entertainment, food stalls and pop up shops.
Lotterywest Symphony In The City | 16 December
This spectacular event is Perth’s largest free outdoor classical music concert and if you ask us, it’s our official signal that summer has arrived and Christmas is around the corner. Join the Orchestra, the WASO Chorus and special guest soloists for a gorgeous evening that features heart-melting music and - as always - the concert will conclude with a pyrotechnics display.
