There’s been a lot happening in Perth since we wrote this list. Like, a lot. From bakeries serving booze-filled doughnuts, to coffee shops offering pilates classes, here are 36 new restaurants, bars and cafes you need to get yourself immediately, if not sooner.

Open Now!

The Hummus Club

Northbridge

The Hummus Club has fiiiiinally opened! Treating Perthies with their delectable middle-eastern cuisine and general good vibes, this is most definitely on your must-visit list.

Tom’s Italian

North Beach

Sunsets and Italian go hand in hand, amirite? Tom’s Italian is now open and dishing up tasty Italian dishes with views to boot.

The Emerson Bar

Perth

In the spot that used to be Carnegies, The Emerson Bar is spread across three levels with the rooftop bar serving our favourite summer drink, frosé. The bar stays open into the wee hours of the night so you can drink and dance your night away in style.

La Fattoria

Pickering Brook

The hills are alive with the sound of rustic Italian food and plenty of Italian wine thanks to La Fattoria. They have officially opened their doors so get down there pronto.

Maison Saint-Honore

Swan Valley

Maison Saint-Honore has opened up in the Swan Valley, serving handmade macarons and pastries made by a French chef using traditional French recipes. Start the car.

Honey Beanz

Subiaco

Honey Beanz will be making all you Subi office workers rejoice its amazing lunch items, which are a mixture of simple modern cuisine and big punchy Asian flavours. Lunchtime, here we come.

96 Degrees

North Beach

A new addition to the Flora Terrace cafe scene is 96 Degrees. Specialising in quality coffee, they have their own bespoke blend AND cold drip nitrogen-infused coffee. Wowee.

MOP Donuts

Leederville

Alcohol and doughnuts, together at last in glorious harmony. MOP make speciality brioche-style drunken doughnuts fresh on site. There’s other stuff too like burgers, ice cream and drunken freakshakes. Dear lord.

Nasi Lemak Korner

Mosman Park

Nasi Lemak’s new Mossie Park restaurant has only just opened and they already have queues out the door! We guess that’s what happens when you’re touted as having the best Malaysian in the city. Head along, it's worth the wait.

Mr Fox on William

Northbridge

The team at Mr Fox have made 270 William Street their new home. A comfy space serving killer coffee and delicious brekkies and lunches.

William Street Cycle Co

Northbridge

If you are a cyclist and coffee enthusiast, then you’re going to want to try this new spot in Northbridge. William Street Cycle Co sell bikes and know everything about bikes—and also do top notch coffee, light eats and other glorious baked goods.

Rockefeller Deli

Highgate

Rockefeller Deli has just opened where Ace Pizza used to be with a classic take on the New York deli—think stacked pastrami, house smoked salmon, piles of pickles and dense, chewy bagels for days. Oh and an extensive wine, beer and cocktail selection.Yew.

Dr Clause

East Perth

Offering some of the best coffee in town and some sensational breakfast and lunch options, Dr Clause in Claisebrook is definitely one to put on your hit list.

The Orange Box at Leighton

North Fremantle

A bit of a walk up from Leighton Beach, you will find this fantastic new addition to the North Freo cafe scene. The Orange Box are doing great coffee, amazing cake selections, delish brekkie options—plus they’re doing their bit for the environment with all the cutlery and crockery being 100 per cent biodegradable. What good eggs!

Auntie G

Fremantle

Auntie G is where Maya Indian used to be on Freo’s cafe strip, and is a rad new little restaurant / bar / all-round general cool spot. Think modern ‘Indian-fusion’ share plates with a kick-ass drinks list.

Exhale Espresso

Perth

Sitting on Lord Street is this coffee shop, pilates studio and cafe all in one! Talk about covering your bases. Pop into Exhale Espresso for a bite to eat, a pilates sesh or a damn fine caffeine hit.

Canteen Trigg

Trigg Beach

The Kailis restaurant at Trigg Beach is now also home to Canteen Trigg, and we are super pumped. They do a variety of takeaway delights such as breakfast trays, salad trays and seafood trays. Just the thing you need after a day at the beach.

iPoke

Fremantle

iPoke in the Freo markets is serving fresh, authentic Hawaiian cuisine to go—think big tasty bowls of salmon with fresh vege salads with a tropical twist.

Cafe New Orleans

Fremantle

Bringing some Southern-inspired soul food to the people of Fremantle is the team behind Cafe New Orleans. Located in Freo’s west end, they’re dishing up Cajun and creole cuisine with locally roasted coffee and sweet treats.

Bottega

Fremantle

Coffee + dessert = a winning combo. Bottega is bringing just that to the people of Fremantle with their superb coffee and home-made desserts.

Comet Pizza

Northbridge

Located in the heart of Northbridge, Comet Pizza is Perth’s newest gourmet pizzeria and we're obsessed!

St Lucy has opened on Rokeby Road and the team here are brewing excellent coffee and dishing out awesome salads, delish bagels and all sorts of baked goodness.

Sohe Thai Fusion

Bicton

A brand new Thai fusion restaurant has opened its doors in Bicton and everything looks absolutely drool-worthy. If you're a south-sider we think Sohe might just become your new local.

Bloody French

Subiaco

A Meditteranean restaurant with a French twist, Bloody French is serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Subiaco locals are lapping it up. There's plenty of seafood on the menu and loads of delicious cheesy dishes, plus the wine list is ace.

Little Lamonts Express

Herne Hill

Lamonts has expanded to include a delightful little cafe in the Swan Valley where you can get tasty meals to go, a good range of cheeses, freshly baked bread, dips and so much more. They also do excellent coffee!

Rice Baby

Subiaco

Another Subiaco newbie, Rice Baby's cocktail game is strong and their dumpling game is even stronger. Try the matcha lava cake and thank us later.

Drift Kitchen

Wembley

This stunning new dessert bar is going to be your go-to when you’re in need of a fancy dessert. Specialising in hand-painted and finely crafted sweets, you will not be disappointed at The Garnsihed Co.

Panda & Co

Highgate

With the slogan “proudly inauthentic Asian” we can’t help but love Panda & Co before it’s even open. We’re expecting some pretty rad coffee thanks to Dukes Coffee, a whole lot of flare and a mod-Oz twist on some of our fave Asian goodies.

Mister Gill’s Fish and Chip Shop

Subiaco

We’ve got a feeling this ain’t going to be your average fish and chip shop. If you know Subiaco bar Juanita’s you’ll be very excited to hear that owner Murray Gill is opening a fish and chip shop just down the street which will be offering beautifully cooked seafood and wine, plus a few cocktails for good measure.

Hylin Small Bar

West Leederville

We’ve been eagerly awaiting the opening of Hylin’s small bar and we think it should be happening prettttty soon! If it’s half as good as the breakfasts, it’s going to be one of our new faves for sure!

Mary Street Bakery

Perth

The team behind Mary Street Bakery appear to be taking over the world, and we are extremely happy about it. They’re opening their fourth bakery in the new Allendale Square development on St George’s Terrace in April 2017.
