There isn’t anything more West Australian than freebies, music festivals and public holidays, which is why we were stoked to hear that there’s a free music festival coming to Perth in celebration of WA Day this winter.

It’s called SOTA Festival and it’s going down at Elizabeth Quay this WA Day long weekend on Monday 5 June.

The line-up features a healthy blend of old and new WA musos like Karnivool, Drapht, Gyroscope, Bob Evans, Crooked Colours, Katy Steel, Ziggy and Abbe May.

Kicking off at 12pm, you can also expect plenty of delicious goodies from some of Perth’s best food trucks along Eat Street—Jumplings, Braised Bros or Pash Froyo, anyone?

Plus, some of Perth’s most popular restaurants will be dishing out their hottest little numbers in the licenced Urban Providore.

And if you can’t make it down to SOTA Festival in person, they’ll also be live-streaming all of the action on YouTube from 12—8pm. That’s a true blue move if we’ve ever seen one!

So what are you waiting for? Call your friends and plan to get down to Elizabeth Quay early to secure a stellar spot in the mosh pit!
