We know how much you guys love a good date, whether that be with your BAE, mum or work wife, and we’ve found the perfect spot for all occasions.
Offering up stunning river views from just about every angle, killer menus designed by Executive Chef Liam Atkinson and all of the secluded vibes, KU DE TA is a Perth hidden gem that’s got it all.
Whether it’s at West, KU Dining or The Deck, you’re all set for an impressed dinner date. You can thank us later!
Relaxed vibes? Spectacular food? Top notch drinks? KU DE TA’s West ticks all of these boxes and more when it comes to casual dining in Perth. The indoor-outdoor venue features an open kitchen, charcuterie AND seafood bar, and a great vantage point of the Swan River. The perfect spot for casual dates, be that with your SO, girlfriends or work spouse, we can’t get enough of their fresh share-style eats. Think: local cold cuts, smoked kingfish sashimi, oysters, fried squid and wagyu skirt steak. Paired with any of their wines, beers or cocktails (we’re quite partial to the Honey, I’m Home with Limeburners karri honey liqueur, Applejack and orange), you’re in for a very good time.
For casual fine-dining at its best, KU Dining is your go-to for first dates and special occasions. While nothing beats an evening date when it comes to romance, the view of the Swan River from KU Dining is pretty unique so you might want to get there before the sun sets. To get you started, the heritage bread with whipped canola is an absolute must. From there you’ve got to try the pumpkin and beet tart with raw honey and lentils, as well as the lacquered Wagin duck with buckwheat roti and braised mountain pepper greens. Be sure to save room for the desserts though, they are nothing short of incredible and will definitely impress your date—particularly the violet éclair. When it comes to the drinks list, expect only the best local drops.
270-degree river views, a diverse cocktail menu, delicious share-style food and casual seating make The Deck our go-to for fun friend dates (or when we’re meeting someone from Tinder for the first time and want to keep things casual). Go for the prawn toast, pizzas and creamy feta chip ‘n’ dip, and stay a while sipping their specialty white, red and rosé sangria jugs. Better yet, head to The Deck for Free Flow Sunday with your pals each week for bottomless Prosecco and Bintang, signature pizzas and tunes for $45 per head.
