With favourites like Sauma, Jus Burgers, Petition Kitchen, Must Wine Bar, Odyssea and many more jumping on board, we’re in for a very tasty month indeed.
From Another View Exhibition At The State Library
All Month Long
In partnership with the Minderoo Foundation, the From Another View exhibition explores the legacy of John Forest’s 1874 trek from Geraldton to South Australia and the effect it had on our history. State Library staff have travelled throughout WA meeting with local indigenous communities to discover the impact of explorers walking through Country, and the exhibition aims to contextualise Aboriginal peoples’ understanding of Country with those of the explorers.

Skating At Elizabeth Quay 2019
28 June—21 July
We don’t often get the chance to play in the snow here in Perth, so sometimes we have to grin and fake it. Thankfully the popular pop-up Skating at Elizabeth Quay is back for 2019, with a giant open-air ice rink and ice slide, plus a kiddo-friendly bouncy castle. Grab yourself a bite and a warming beverage from the Alpine Bar, and have all the fun exploring this winter wonderland.
29 June to 21 July
Once you’re done skating up a storm at Lizzy Quay, head down to Fremantle’s Esplanade park to catch the opening of Winterworld (AKA Australia’s largest outdoor ice skating rink). If making snowmen and throwing snowballs at your friends is more your speed, head to the Snow Pitt and get a taste of fresh powder. For those who want to explore a little, Market Square is the place to be. Browse the stalls and pick up a few tasty treats, then settle in at the Winter Lounge. It’s a great place to roast a marshmallow (or ten) and listen to Freo’s best live music.
Canada Day 2019 At The Aviary
The Aviary is all set to celebrate our Canadian friends, hosting a huge Canada Day event to round out the month. There’ll be all the Canadian food and bev faves like Bloody Caesars, poutine, maple bacon pizza and chicken wings, plus live cover bands and DJs. RSVP via Facebook to receive free priority entry and a chance to win a giant Canadian-themed hamper of goodies.
