Keeping up with the best events, new openings, pop ups, and good things to eat in Perth is no mean feat (and we would know!). To make your life that little bit easier, and because we love a good list, we’ve teamed up with Peroni to bring you What’s Trending: A one-stop guide to everything worth checking out in your city this month, so you won’t miss a thing.

February is here which means romance is in the air. There are a bunch of new Italian joints to check out, fun Valentines events for all to enjoy, not to mention festivals and Fringe shows as far as the eye can see. Here’s everything that’s trending this month in Perth!

#1. Sneaky Laneway Bars

It's no secret that Perth peeps love their laneways and it’s also a fact that beer makes you hungry, so next time beer o’clock rolls around head on over to Wolf Lane for tasty bar snacks with your bevvy. We've got our eyes on the grilled cheese because cheese + beer = the best!

#2. All Of The New Italian Spots Popping Up Everywhere

There must be something European in the water because over the last couple of months some stellar Italian joints have opened up in Perth and we can’t get enough. There’s Wembley’s wood-fired pizza and homemade pasta spot, Monsterella; Spritz Spizzicheria Italiana, aka the perfect place to down an Aperol Spritz and enjoy Italian delights in Mount Hawthorn; and Subiaco’s Lulu La Delizia where we go crazy for the handmade and very inventive pasta dishes.

#3. Getting Loved Up

February is the month of love and Perth’s serving up some red hot events for all to enjoy. If you’re not into the whole Valentine’s Day thing, why not grab the gals (guys welcome too) and head to the Galentine’s Day Dinner hosted by Stranger Danger Dinners. It’s set to be one speccy event, held in the stunning gardens of Lamont’s Bishop’s House with styling by The Butcher, The Baker, The Stylist & Creator. Tickets available here.

#4. Perth’s Very First Glamping Eco-Retreat

If you haven’t yet heard, Rottnest Island is getting a glamping eco retreat this year! Set to open later in the year, Pinky’s Eco Retreat and Beach Club will comprise of 29 luxury eco-tents complete with ensuite, 10 two-bedroom family tents and 35 backpacker tents (if you’re feeling a little tight on the purse strings). There’ll also be a licensed bar, cafe and restaurant so you’ll never have to stray too far from your tent. We cannot wait!

#5. Diner En Blanc Is Back

We were so happy to announce the return of Diner en Blanc in 2017 and tickets go on sale this month so the time to buy your all white attire is now! If you’re anything like us you’re dying to know where the event will be held this year, one thing’s for sure though, it’s going to need to be pretty special to top Elizabeth Quay last year.

#6. Festivals, Festivals Everywhere

February is our most favourite time of the year because along with plenty of sunshine, she brings with her plenty of festival goodness for all to enjoy. From the Fringe World Festival and Perth International Arts Festival to Perth Writer’s Festival and the Summerset Arts Festival, there’s something to keep you busy every night of the week during the shortest month of the year, so get booking. You can sleep when you’re dead!

#7. Cold, Craft Ice Cream

Kuld Creamery is Perth’s latest and greatest craft ice creamery and they’re churning out some pretty delish icy treats that you must cool down with. Previous flavours have included peach cobbler, sweet beet and chai. Get down there stat.
