In a huge shared space in Fremantle’s new East End, The Mantle is an activity hub for creatives and foodies, housing several restaurants, a bar, collaborative working spaces, art and a fully-equipped commercial kitchen that can be rented to help out new food businesses. The space is set up to bring people together to eat, drink, work and play, inside a beautiful old warehouse with an innovative interior design featuring lots of funky recycled pieces. The Mantle is busy and bustling, with a vibrant atmosphere and friendly, efficient staff, but be prepared to wait to score a table. There are currently two permanent restaurants in the space – Don Tapa, which started life as a pop up restaurant and serves a delicious rage of Argentinean and Latin American inspired flavours; and Magna Pizza, serving up authentic wood fired pizzas. Current pop up ventures Short Order Burger Co and Stampede Gelato have both proven popular with the crowds.
