Marvel is back with their latest blockbuster, Black Panther, featuring a star-studded cast of Michael B. Jordan, Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o and Martin Freeman. Heir to the Wakanda throne, T’Challa must face treachery and danger as the Black Panther to take his rightful place as King and protect the safety of his people. If Black Panther is half as good as Marvel’s previous work then this one will be a not to miss movie of the year!
Any movie with Rachel McAdams is going to be good and we’re sure this one is no exception. Game Night is an action-packed comedy featuring McAdams and Jason Bateman who have their game night flipped upside down and thrown into real life danger when a murder mystery game turns all too real. Book yourself in for Game Night if you’re up for a dark humour and an adventure-filled watch.
Jessica Chastain is hitting our screens portraying Molly Bloom who was the world’s biggest poker entrepreneur from 2003 to 2013 with a ring including people like Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck, and Macaulay Culkin. Think female Wolf of Wall Street and you’re on the right track. Starring alongside Chastain to tell Molly’s growing empire and ultimate downfall is Michael Cera, Idris Elba, and Chris O’Dowd—so you know it’s gotta be good!
Fifty Shades Freed
The much-anticipated third instalment of the Fifty Shades of Grey saga is finally hitting the big screen in February. Fifty Shades Freed will see Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey dealing with married life and the new relationship dynamic that comes along with it. We say get out the popcorn and binge the first two films for a refresher before booking your tickets ASAP!
Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built
Horror movie lovers rejoice, February has delivered with the thriller Winchester! Helen Mirren plays a grieving widow that builds a house to home all the spirits she believes she’s being haunted by. When visitors start to come by the mansion and pick up on the weird happenings, things get intense fast. For the thrill seekers and psychiatrically spooked folk out there, Winchester will be right up your alley!
Following its initial release overseas in November, Lady Bird has gone on to win multiple best picture awards, making it one of the most talked about films of this awards season—so naturally we’re very excited for this one! It’s a coming of age movie featuring Saoirse Ronan in the lead role as hard headed “Lady Bird” and Laurie Metcalf as her pleading mother. If Perks of Being a Wallflower or Juno were amongst your fave films then Lady Bird will be perfect for you.
